Glorified Speed Test
The free version of this app doesn’t do anything useful. It’s got a speed test which you can do a million other places on the web. WiFi heat mapping is not available on the free version. According to others it’s not available on the paid mobile app either. Don’t know why they even keep this active
This is brilliant!
I have set up a couple of WiFi extenders in my house and wondered how effective they were. I added a lan if my house to this, took a quick scan and now have a handy Heatmap. Brilliant!
Limited Options
Paid the app just to realize I can’t even export it in raw data or convert to signal strength and asking me to use a desktop version. Don’t waste your money!
Incorrect title
The title ‘WiFi Heat Map & Speed Test’ led me to expect a traditional Wi-Fi signal strength heat map alongside a speed test. Had it been clearer that the iOS version only creates speed-based heat maps, I would have purchased the desktop version instead.
