This is brilliant!

I have set up a couple of WiFi extenders in my house and wondered how effective they were. I added a lan if my house to this, took a quick scan and now have a handy Heatmap. Brilliant!

Limited Options

Paid the app just to realize I can’t even export it in raw data or convert to signal strength and asking me to use a desktop version. Don’t waste your money!

Incorrect title

The title ‘WiFi Heat Map & Speed Test’ led me to expect a traditional Wi-Fi signal strength heat map alongside a speed test. Had it been clearer that the iOS version only creates speed-based heat maps, I would have purchased the desktop version instead.

Great tool

Accurate and easy to use

Limited iPhone use

Complete waste of time for iPhone users. The app has limited functionality for iPhone users and while a vague warning appears, the user is never explicitly told exactly what functionality is limited. Prompts to purchase the desktop version along with a coupon code mislead consumer to believe the heat map functionality will become available if purchased. Not true. There is zero connectivity between the iPhone app and the software. Any work completed on the iPhone is wasted effort as it exists in a silo. Customer service suggested I transition to an Android device for better performance. What??? Save your time and money. Hours of time lost. Do not recommend for iPhone users.

iPad Version Feature Limitations Caused Project Delays

Hello,

I’ve been using NetSpot for several months and, overall, I’ve been quite satisfied with the software. However, I recently ran into a situation that caused significant inconvenience.

Since carrying a laptop around for Wi-Fi site surveys is not very practical, I decided to purchase an iPad Pro along with a NetSpot license for iPad, expecting to use it as a more portable tool for my work.

When I needed to perform a Wi-Fi coverage analysis and create a signal strength heatmap, I discovered that this functionality is not available in the iPad version. As a result, I had to postpone the project, which led to financial losses and negatively affected my professional reputation with the client.

Yes, part of the responsibility is mine—I should have checked the feature list more carefully before making the purchase. However, I believe the limitations of the iPad version should be communicated much more clearly. From the product description, it is not obvious that the iPad version is significantly limited compared to the desktop version and is essentially suitable only for basic measurements.

Moreover, even the speed test functionality is not always useful, as it may not work in networks where outbound internet connections are restricted or blocked.

The money itself is not the main issue, but the overall experience has been disappointing. It would be great if you could offer some kind of solution for existing customers, for example, providing an Android license as a goodwill gesture. I will most likely end up purchasing an Android tablet specifically for using NetSpot, since carrying a laptop in the field is genuinely inconvenient. Having to pay for yet another license after already purchasing the iPad version feels difficult to justify.

I hope you will consider both making the limitations of the iPad version more visible to potential customers and offering a reasonable solution for users who have already purchased the software.

Just an expensive ad for the desktop version

I need to see frequency map and strengths from different areas to try and nail down an issue I am experiencing I found out that only the desktop version might do something that I can use after purchasing the iOS app. Shame on me.

Easy and Fast app

Works great !!

Meh not as expected I am looking for spectrum data

Meh not as expected I am looking for spectrum data

Ok tool but not what I need
I would like to see WiFi channels, signal strength by numbers, and exact network id info.
Also a spectrum view for interference as well

Maybe even a directional finder would be nice to find where all signals are coming from.

Good, but not enough information

I am trying to determine why my wifi stops working occasionally and which access point I should connect to as well as what channel would work best.

This app does not give me enough info.

Bait & switch

Deceptive marketing. I read the ENTIRE description, scanning carefully for any mention of “Lite”, “Paid”, “Free”, “Premium”, or “Subscription.” The cost model isn’t mentioned once. However, OF COURSE, it is the FIRST thing you see when you launch the app. No greeting page, no Quick Start, just an advertisement for a blood thirsty subscription plan now that this unethical company’s bait has got you on the hook. I would have HAPPILY bought the buy-once version if the App Store listing wasn’t furtive about it; it’s exactly what I am looking for but cannot trust a non-transparent company. Beware of developer and steer clear of any dishonest product they release.

Very limited information how to use this

Based on me floundering around I do not see any value to whatever this is trying to do. Unfortunately no refunds permitted even 8 minutes after installation. I feel cheated.

Doesn’t work will charge you without notice.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Doesn’t work will charge you without notice.

WiFi Heat Maps

This is very cool should you want to see dead zones and hot spots in your WiFi coverage.

Gutes Werkzeug

Die Werte scheinen ok zu sein, es werden aber viel zu wenige Informationen geliefert.

Great App

Helpful and Easy to use

NO REFUNDS

All this does is color your download speed on an imported floor plan. Not dB or anything useful. Ip scan doesn’t even work on my iphone 14. Just a waste of money.

Heat mapping is very useful

Great way to visualize your coverage!!
