It does everything I need it to do
This app just keeps getting better and better with every update, it now allows you to export directly from your Powerwall to the grid which also prioritises exporting solar to the grid, so that enables you to keep your Powerwall below 80% and send your maximum export to the grid (which in my case is 5kW) and then any excess charges the Powerwall.
This will stop any clipping of solar production, which is lost energy and money in your pocket.
To do this with the Tesla app you have to rely on their algorithm to do this when it is in saving mode, this rarely happens and you have no control.
Have been using this app for just over a year and I can honestly say that I am not disappointed with the results I am getting.
Everything I need is here to optimise my system and get the best returns from exports and control of how I want my system to work, yes it costs but you get what you pay for and if it was free you would be the product.

Great control and management of powerwall
I can’t believe Tesla has not brought this app to integrate into their system. The app allows you to program your powerwall to make the best of savings and self power. It does it all automatically once you have your programs set. Easy to use and allows far greater monitoring of your solar system. I have 3 strings of panels and Netzero allows me to monitor them individually where as the Tesla app only shows a total output. I use both apps to monitor the system but Netzero gives a lot more control and information. Worth the subscription.

Fantastic monitoring desktop/ipad app
Love the ability to view the dashboard on web and tablet - wish there were widgets integration to show on my iPad lock screen and put it on the wall too!

Subscribed after nightmare of trying to use Home Automation. Unlike ha this works and is easy. Scuse me while I now go shoot the ha box in the garden.

App w / latest download shows solar output 4.7kw at noon no clouds compared to estimate has also changed the whole history. Sorry app is not working correctly. At least not anywhere like it was!!!!! Now it when entering app it showed the solar charging to estimated solar then drops to nothing. After update again it showed 0 charging on graph.

A must have for Powerwall and Octopus Energy
Has solved a problem of draining the Powerwall when Octopus charges the car out of off peak hours. So much easier than staring at the app adjusting the backup manually. The £6.99 will pay itself back very quickly!!

Best described as the paid-for version of Home Assistant for those who have busy lives (too busy to fathom out how to use HA) and want loads of integration for their PowerWall and then some. Love it! 🥇
Very Good App - Can Be Even Better
Can really dial in your system with this app, and is generally intuitive and straightforward. Over all worth the cost once you learn it.
Would be great if you could select an automation after reaching a predefined trigger like “After my car finishes charging, reset my Powerwall from “Maintain Charge” to “Self Powered” so I don’t have to tap the grid at night once my car finishes charging.

Gone wonky
Edited: Netzero responded right away and identified a problem that occurred when using the app in a different time zone than the Powerwall. This is resolved and working great! 5 stats for customer support!
I really like the app…. That said it’s gone wonky lately. It is displaying the wrong dates info. Today’s data displays yesterday, until it suddenly flips to today’s at random intervals. Then when I swipe to yesterday it shows some previous days data. I have to go to monthly chart to get the correct day totals. Very frustrating.

An absolute must
After Tesla replaced our PW2 with a 3, I found the software was costing us money, not saving it; the new algorithm, simply put is garbage. I gave it a few months to see if it would 'learn' but it actually got worse! That's when I found Netzero. Netzero puts control over your expensive in your hands, not Tesla's. Since using it I have set up rules that govern how the battery works in ways the Tesla system never could or would, in turn saving us a lot of money... like you'd expect. If you have a Powerwall, Netzero is a no brainer must have.

Save your money, overpriced !
Difficult
It is very hard to log in on an iPhone. It will not do eye recognition nor does it remember my password.
But it is useful so I am persevering.

In 2026, just had a repeat of this problem and it took two days to restore access. The problem is in the Tesla part of logging on, but this is still part of NetZero app.

If you have a Tesla Powerwall, you need this app!
You really need this app to control the battery properly to manage the tariff structures. The automations are fantastic. So good that you can input time, backup charge, usage, grid charge, energy flows. I only wish there were: if x then y possibilities at a particular point in time rather than energy flows crossing thresholds. You’ve done a lot of work to put this together and happy to pay the cost.
