Forced app usage with a concerning data-harvesting policy

EōS is forcing active, paying members to create a brand-new app account just to keep checking into the gym they already pay for. This feels less like an upgrade and more like a forced mechanism to make existing members click 'agree' to a new, invasive privacy policy they never signed up for originally. The app demands tracking, third-party analytics, and device telemetry far beyond what a check-in tool requires. Worse, their AI chatbot terms state that user inputs are stored permanently and cannot be deleted. Stop forcing members to choose between accessing their gym and protecting their privacy. Please provide physical key fobs or a lightweight, non-tracking web check-in alternative.

Glitchy

I use the app to create my own workouts and there are some glitches with the new app compared to the old app. After a workout is saved you can’t edit and add another exercise, it doesn’t give the option to create sets/reps and if you try to save without that info you get a red bar error. This is really annoying because sometimes you have to edit on fly when equipment might not be available. Also, and the old app did this too, when typing to search for exercises it will automatically backspace causing the letters to get out of order.

Not a fan

Idk why they switched over to this. Something glitches when I'm trying to type, delete, and retype. If I do a workout one day and forget to hit complete until the next workout, it saves on the same day that I hit complete and won't let me go back to edit it. I hate that it doesn't have all the exercises I 'm trying to do. And I mean like basic workouts that were on the older app. I still don't know if it's keeping up with my PRs or just inputting the information from the original workout when I created the template. I'm glad they switched it from
Kilos to lbs but wish there was a way to change it for different workouts in the same session, since there isn't consistency across equipment in a specific gym. Hoping they do some major fixes in this app to make it actually useful.

Garbage waste of time and money by EOS corporate office

The old app worked fine, but they want to do a tap in instead of a barcode (which takes the exact same amount of time and they could have just updated the old app). New app is slower and the new tap-in NFC Pass feature doesn’t even open for me, so I can’t access amenities that I’m paying for and I know I’m not the only one having this issue. Should have just kept the old app and maybe just update it. They need to fix this quickly or I will be cancelling my membership purely because of this stupid app

Still needs a lot of work

The new app does not seem to glitch as often as the older version. I am able to book the classes no problem. The thing that still needs improvement is membership/account management. That is almost nonexistent. I cannot make changes or cancellations via app. Also, their support is just there to have the illusion they have a support team. No one answers or gets back to you at all. Might as well delete that link/button.

Worst app redo I have ever seen.

The good news is I rarely go to the gym and yet keep paying, this app annoys me enough that if they force this switch I’ll actually stop wasting my money and cancel my membership because this app is so disrespectful. This new Eos app feels like an April fools joke, it lack so much function of the original like payment history, or sessions remaining and integrated training features which you now have to download another app to do the same thing the old one did. The new app is not user friendly, looks visually messy and makes simple things like booking a group class more difficult or impossible. I’m appalled this product was released and feel slapped in the face that they are trying to force people to use such a poorly made app. How are they going to redo an app and not even at least replace the functionality of the original, please get this nonsense together….. or don’t, my bank account will be happy with one less bill.

The most unnecessary app update ever.

Booking classes is more difficult because I have to scroll past all the ones that have already happened that day, instead of only showing what you can sign up for. The check in requirement is wild, I’m not thinking about unlocking my phone, opening an app and then clicking to say I’m at the class when I’m there, I’m busy setting up my equipment. Especially for the classes with short turn arounds in between each one. The classes on demand are impossible to go through in the link it sends you to. I am yet to be able to scroll through to find the one I’m looking for the page just freezes and cuts off halfway down. The community rankings and completions are completely gone. And the bio age feature has changed me into a male apparently and there’s no obvious way to change it to accurately track it.
Overall a lackluster change that seems to want to just push dumb merch sales.

New App

Once the bugs and tests are figured out this app will be a lot better than the old one. Hoping for access to pay bills on app and get rid of myiclub. It looks more user friendly, but there are too many issues and bugs right now. Gfit schedule and booking, cinema schedule, finding members, adding NFC to wallets, bills, kids club signup and registration, etc, etc, etc. App should be able to do everything

great improvement

I’m very happy with the new EOS Fitness app! The transition from the old app to the new one was incredibly smooth and effortless. An EOS Fitness employee helped me get everything set up, and the process couldn’t have been easier.

The new app has a much cleaner, more modern UI, making it easy to navigate and find everything I need. The new Tap Pass has also been a huge improvement—it’s fast, efficient, incredibly convenient, and makes checking into the gym seamless.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the update and appreciate how easy EOS made the transition. Great job!

Should have left the old app

I started with a certain home location, after about a year I moved about 30 mins from it but same state and I upgraded my membership to a closer but more expensive location. On the new app, I have no access to this new locations' g fit classes and other things. It's not even showing me the classes at all, despite the fact that I'm paying more for it. Even though I called the new location and they said I could just show up and take the classes, how will I know what time to show up when the app isn't even showing me the classes. And when someone upgrades their membership, yall should know to update their home location. Thank you.

Great Update!

Really happy to see this update. The app feels much more modern and is a lot easier to navigate than before. Everything is laid out more clearly, making it quicker to find what I need. Looking forward to seeing what else gets improved in future updates!

Worse than the old app

What I loved about the old app was the cinema schedule was easy to check and the Community tab had rankings for members based off of activity points earned throughout the month. The new app made it near impossible to view the cinema schedule. You have to go through several menus, then download the schedule and choose an app to open it with (like Adobe) as it’s a pdf file and then you can view on screen. Takes several minutes to do and is beyond inconvenient. And they got rid of the gym members rankings which used to somewhat motivate members to show up at the gym. Overall hate both of those decisions and the new app is so much worse than the old one for those decisions. Bring back the old app! Or enhance the new app!

Not a good experience so far

Doesn’t save filter preferences, have to redo them everyday, sometimes more than once a day. After updating filters of locations AND fav instructors, still can’t find the class I frequent every week. Have to restart app, clear filters and start all over. Took me 15 mins just to book my favorite class. And confirming the booking FIVE MINS before class STARTS is unrealistic. No one has their phone in hand five mins before start, it’s off to the side, we are in our spots and stretching. An hour window would be better allowing us to confirm before we leave home before class. Also the app keeps logging me out and I have to log in again frequently, really frustrating. Also can’t sign up for more than two classes a day. Sometimes I do more than that with the different varieties of classes. I love to book a high cardio and pair it with yoga following sound bath meditation then sometimes do one or two more in the evening. Wish they had worked out these issues before MAKING us use this new app. :(

Worst app for gym

Unable to book studio classes. The corporate shouldn’t release this new app if it is still half way implemented. All available classes are not reflected within the app so instructors whose classes are not listed, they are loosing students. Increasing the membership was correctly and promptly done by corporate management but other than that, they don’t care about your customers. Typical EOS management the way how treat your customers. Hope these major issues will be handled immediately. We know that even if we bring the issues to staff members, nothing they can do, affecting your clientele.

App is horrible

Hate the look. Literally annoying to navigate. Had to do all the reset password because my old creds don’t work anymore. Why is my bio age a man when I’m a woman? Why isn’t there community details/scores anymore? I used that to motivate myself to go to the gym. My goals are not there anymore which is another thing to motivates me. Class schedule look up was already a pain and now it is 10 times worse! Also, not finding the movie schedule? Is it removed from the app now? Literally a horrid app. At least not force people to change until it is all completed. And if it is completed, wow just wow, way to make it trash. Edit: app keeps glitching and kicking me out and then not recognizing me as a user. Have to keep deleting the app and reading to get it to register me.

Cannot sign up for more than two classes

I cannot sign up for more than two classes like I could in the old app and some of the classes I take fill up quickly so by the time I can sign up the class is already full. And checking in five minutes before the class starts should be automatic when you walk in the gym by the front desk or have a QR scanner by the class so you can just scan it as you walk into the room. The app is really glitchy and every time I put my locations in favorites I have to reset it every time I sign back in🙄

New app makes me question my membership

This new app is terrible. It places restrictions on classes for members who are still paying the same amount of money as they were prior to these restrictions. When I sign up for a class, I do so knowing that I am going to be at my class either in the morning after I take care of my responsibilities at home, including my dogs and my children or after I leave work knowing that sometimes there is some traffic. However, I always do make it to these classes before they begin. With this new app, if somebody is not there five minutes ahead of time their spot can be given away. So people are going to be driving recklessly trying to get to class on time. It also limits how many classes someone can sign up for in a day. Unfortunately, what they have done is punishing people who do get to their classes and not fixing the problem of people signing up and not attending classes.

good but could be better

everything seems to be working correctly but my only issue between switching apps is that the check in history is only monthly. on the old app i have options between checking between monthly and yearly. The option was a big deal for me because I would like to see my progress from the past year to now, is there anyway that we can add on a yearly check-in option in the history tab? thank you!

I don’t see a difference

I’m not sure why they wanted or needed a new app. I don’t personally see much of a difference. But I only use it to check in at the door so. It was a little annoying you have to sign up all over again, they should allow you to just transfer it over from your existing account. Other than that, it’s fine.

Why release an app that doesn’t have all features yet?

I mean, if this is a beta it’s not apparent. But honestly i don’t really use the app for anything but signing up for kid care… and I can’t find where to do that. When you do add it, please make it so we can do it within the app and have a default location instead of having to search for the location each time.

I don’t really care about any of the updates with classes and such. I think it looks alright and i like the idea of having a one stop shop within the app for managing our account. But at this point it’s still lacking. I think you ought to roll this back getting some actual people working with the app before getting everyone on board.
