New Orleans tour

It was cumbersome to use at first. At times difficult to activate one site adjacent to another. Pictures were helpful. Over-all a decent value. Our professionally guided walking tour was canceled and we decided to try your app. Saved money and liked that we could stop and start the tour. Even relistened to various locations to clarify points of interest. Would recommend.

Response from developer

The tour always being available, when you want it to be, is a positive feature many users have commented favorably about. Thank you for your nice review.

Poor function

The app does not continue to play if you switch to another app briefly (camera)or turn off your phone screen to pocket you phone for a bit while walking. It totally drains your battery and you need to walk around with your hand out holding your phone open and on.
Otherwise the narration was good and informative.

Once purchased, you own the tour. Which means that it will reopen any time you want, be it a few minutes or even months later. It will however reopen at the beginning. You then use the top left control to skip the Intro and move on the map to where you left off. Then instantly the tour returns to that location. We certainly don't want you to waste battery life sitting in a cafe having a snack. We do have user instructions on our website. Sorry you had a problem and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

French Quarter Tour

I love this App. Easy to use and for $10 so much more value than the pre scheduled time scripted tour walks. Stop and restart it at your leisure. Like all GPS devices it does drain your iPhone battery if you use it inefficiently. However a fast charger or recharging your phone during a break for coffee or cocktail can elevate this headache. A big fan

Great way to see the French Quarter!

I used this app with my mom. We each took one of my AirPods to listen and spent the day following the tour at our own pace as we popped into shops. We did a ghost tour later in the evening, and though very good, and we both preferred the ease of this app. The voices and music of the story tellers was spot on. I only wish they had a garden district app too.

Response from developer

We are very fortunate to have Grammy Winner Chris Thomas King host our tour. A native of the city and expert in Blues and Jazz music he brought so many interesting facets of the French Quarter music history to the tour. We will pass your wonderful review on to him. Thank you.

Great Professionally narrated tour of the French Quarter

I loved this App. It offers interesting historic information, great background music, and a simple interface. I used it with my wireless headphones while walking around.

Important Tip: If you want to explore the audio tour from a different city/location just be sure to turn OFF the GPS location feature. You can turn it on again easily later. This keeps you in the French Quarter and doesn’t shoot you back to your current location after a point of interest has played.

Only suggestions for improvement are:

Automatic audio play option when GPS is enabled. Right now you have to manually click on each point of interest.

Improving the camera interface would also be a good improvement.

I was still very pleased and enjoyed the app. Worth the money. I even enjoyed the occasional mispronunciation 😜
