The problem with this app is that you already need to be an expert at knowing the NYC subway system in order to use it. But if you’re just standing on a random street corner and you want to know how to get from your current location to somewhere else, it won’t tell you where the nearest subway station is and it certainly won’t even tell you how to walk to the nearest subway station. It basically just shows you the subway lines, but trying to get to the subway or navigating the subway is up to you.

Good Idea, Poor Execution
Looked like it had a great map where you could select your station but it did not work. To make things worse, as I kept trying to work out the details an ad would pop up and disrupt the entire process. Id pay $5-$6 for a good app with an interactive map. This isn’t it.

Just OK - not recommended for detailed travel plans
This app is ok for general information but doesn’t account for weekend schedule variables or provide track closure and maintenance updates. We were rerouted several times for closure and construction not known by the app and wasted much of our time. Better to use an app that is updated since track closures and weekend changes will likely impact travel frequently.

Out of Date - Warning Travelers
I have used this map for years when I lived in Manhattan, but if you are checking it out now, 1.0.1 is out of date and the trains have moved. You will get lost.

Thanks for the bug update. Can you update the train lines also?
It is clear everyone loves everything about this app, but the info hasn't been updated in five years. I notice a recent update to fix a bug, but the train lines need to be updated as well. The Q train stopped going to queens almost two years ago, and where is the W Train Line? This is still the only app I've ever paid for in the 11 years I've been using an iPhone. I would love to recommend it to people who ask me for directions or friends visiting the city, but the developers refuse to update the info. They must have something against being a successful app and making money, because this makes zero sense.
