Waste of time app now
What’s the point of having a news app, when once you have read 7 articles per month you are locked out and have to pay £4.99 to read any more.
Unable to subscribe
Tried for weeks to subscribe for premium acccess at the £1 offer. Unable to complete because the app won’t redirect me to my bank. I know this because the message simultaneously comes from my bank that it is the fault of the chronicle site.
Cash Grab
After years of using this I’m now off to BBC.
You get limited access per week (7 clicked articles) and there’s also premium articles…both accessible for a monthly fee.
It’s frustrating and I hope this is the start of a doom spiral trying to cash grab, feels like a very poor business decision.

Downhill
This app went rapidly downhill. Definitely won’t be paying subscription. Used to be good app
Bring back the old chronicle
I used to use this app daily for local news, now they require a monthly subscription to read 95% of the articles.
