No search option. Missing stories. “Click Again” page and organization annoying
Stories that appear on live broadcast aren’t findable on the app. And since there’s no search, it’s even more frustrating trying to find them. Additionally, as others have posted, you click on a story and the app takes you to the same headline again and have to click again. Just seems like a huge UI fail. So annoying.
Then the organization makes it hard to find other top headlines. All stories are buried under categories. While I’ll watch the channel some, I find that I switch over to rival channel WMTW’s app instead when I’m trying to find stories or follow notification links.

Ugh. New App Awful
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The new app design is terrible! Too bad NewsCenter Maine didn’t think this change through. All of the features that made using the app enjoyable, like a MENU, are gone. It’s now frustrating and hard to navigate. Please change it!!
I like checking in for big stories
Being from Seacoast Maine and Southern New Hampshire, whenever something big happens of national importance WCSH NewsCenterMaine is the first place I go to for coverage.

New update is horrible
I use the weather radar on this app all the time and it was great. Well they decided to update and now it is a joke! The new radar is horrible! Why oh why would you change it. Guess I need to find a new app.
Designer may need to be examined…
They should bring back the OLD version of the app. Whoever put the new one together should reconsider. I hate the new version and actually deleted it because it’s TERRIBLE! I did reinstall because the website can’t give me LOCAL weather, only Portland and Bangor.

We only watch you all!
We truly enjoy watching News Center Maine. This is by far the best news cast around! It’s thorough, explained well and we enjoy all of the newscasters. Keep up the great work.

Horrible update
Whoever designed this update should be fired. I used to use this app frequently now it’s almost unusable. I don’t even know where to go and see the weather.
Weather Tab
When I open the weather tab it does display any information. I have reviewed all my settings and updated the app. The old app worked great.
Please Fix ASAP!
I hate the updates. When I watch live, the NCM live banner, volume, CC and full screen buttons never go away at the bottom of the screen. These cover the actual news ticker that is scrolling. Please fix!
Love the team/app disappointment
I liked to watch each of the posted news programs at my own pace in the morning especially when I am out of state. The interactions of the personable morning team as they present the day’s new and weather are delightful and segments like the Stumper are joyful, esp. when the news isn’t. With the new app, I cannot find anything more than the most current broadcast.

Being able to read the daily news event, weather, and sports in the palm of your own hand is wonderful.

It’s a fairly standard news app, a mix of local and national headlines, weather, and a smattering of suspicious and questionable ad links at the end of the articles.
One huge improvement to this app would be adding the ability to search for a zip code or city/state combo on the weather tab without needing to add it as one of the five save-able options. Sometime I just want to search for weather in a random city without saving it to my profile.
