About
Nexşeya Kurdî is a Kurdish-first cultural atlas of Kurdistan, built for learners, teachers and diaspora families who want a calm, honest way to explore a shared heritage.
Cities appear under their Kurdish names first — never overridden by map-provider labels — alongside Sorani script and common alternative names, grouped into the four regions of Bakur, Başûr, Rojava and Rojhilat.
A dated historical layer, Dîrok, holds 25 sourced entries from Tell Halaf to UNESCO listings. Browse them as an interactive map or a vertical timeline across six eras, and open the deepest entries into three-act stories: background, what happened, and why it matters.
Every fact in the app names its institutional source — UNESCO, Britannica, Encyclopaedia Iranica — and carries a confidence badge. Disputed datings are labelled as debated, never asserted as fact, and events without a verified location stay honestly on the timeline instead of receiving an invented map pin.
A shared food heritage section presents 12 dishes with their ingredients, occasions and the full list of cities that share them — because a dish belongs to a region, not to a single owner.
The entire interface works in Kurmancî, English and Arabic, with proper right-to-left layout for Arabic and an honest fallback note whenever a translation is still missing.
Nexşeya Kurdî is a cultural and educational reference, not an official document and not a statement about borders. It works fully offline, with no account, no ads and no tracking — your favourites, explored cities and read entries stay only on your device.
Download Nexşeya Kurdî and discover Kurdistan's cities, history and food heritage, told with sourced facts and Kurdish names first.
