Fun but could be better

The graphics, color palette and flying component made this game fun.

I didn’t like that you’re pretty much forced to romance Serra. It’s fun to have as an option but gets annoying when you’ve repeatedly chosen the “just friends” dialogue and then a final literal “there’s nothing romantic between us, you read into it” and you still get an achievement for becoming more than friends 😭 If you want your players’ choices to actually matter then you need to develop alternate routes that don’t just default into the same original one.

There were a couple glitches and entering rooms was sometimes weirdly difficult but nothing crazy. Over all this showed a lot of potential and I want to see what the next game they develop will be

First game I’ve enjoyed in a long time !! Rating this game anything under 5 stars doesn’t sit right with me 😃I do wish it was a bit longer though..
Normally I don’t write reviews but I’m honestly a bit sad of how low the ratings are “3.5” stars for such a good game :(
I was scared to play this game at first due to all the reviews saying “how there’s a lot of bugs” but Im glad I still played it because I didn’t experience any bugs or issues !!

Good game, glitchy and not great interface

This game was enjoyable to play. I ranked it 3 starts because halfway through the story, it glitched and wouldn’t let me move forward (scene painting the tree got stuck). I tried rebooting my phone, reloading the app. Nothing worked and I was forced to start the story over.

The interface needs a lot of work. I found myself doing things unintentionally, going to wrong rooms, selecting wrong choices, and such. The story also seems to jump around and sometimes fails to connect past choices.

I really liked the actual story and the concept behind this game is really good. I hope they fix the glitches with this one, I would still recommend playing it. Be mindful that it doesn’t save continuously, there are spots that you’ll need to go back to when you come back to the game, you may need to redo a scene.

good game

i really liked this game!! i’m not a gamer of any sorts but i’ve played many apple arcade games and this one was interesting. i liked the audio for the characters speaking, since many opt for the audience to read it instead. I liked the multiple endings and how it can affect the relationship with the other characters. I did find that the controls were a little annoying when navigating through rooms, and i wish it was a little longer. (i played on an IPad) loved it nonetheless!

A Story I Enjoyed, A Game That is Fine

Next Stop Nowhere offers a pretty compelling cast of characters to get attached to with great writing and a quirky future world. I really enjoy Beckett’s relationship with Cody and Serra and I wanted to know what they’d get through. That said, there’s several gameplay polish issues I think could use some touching up. For one, navigation with touch just isn’t consistent enough. Sometimes tapping something will just not do the thing, even when it plays the sound effect registering that you tapped it. This happened pretty much throughout the game so be prepared for micro issues that will slowly build up into a damper. Another micro issue is that dialogue will jump immediately from one line to the next without any natural pause. I really enjoyed exploring, but keep in mind that this is effectively a walking simulator. There are some minor to mid impact choices to make, but as far as gameplay goes, that’s mostly it. There’s also a ship driving mini game but that’s few and far between and not all that interesting anyways. Still, I’d recommend everyone give this a go. It’s cool to see the developers of oxenfree give Apple Arcade a go.
