Fun but could be better
The graphics, color palette and flying component made this game fun.
I didn’t like that you’re pretty much forced to romance Serra. It’s fun to have as an option but gets annoying when you’ve repeatedly chosen the “just friends” dialogue and then a final literal “there’s nothing romantic between us, you read into it” and you still get an achievement for becoming more than friends 😭 If you want your players’ choices to actually matter then you need to develop alternate routes that don’t just default into the same original one.
There were a couple glitches and entering rooms was sometimes weirdly difficult but nothing crazy. Over all this showed a lot of potential and I want to see what the next game they develop will be

Review
First game I’ve enjoyed in a long time !! Rating this game anything under 5 stars doesn’t sit right with me 😃I do wish it was a bit longer though..
Normally I don’t write reviews but I’m honestly a bit sad of how low the ratings are “3.5” stars for such a good game :(
I was scared to play this game at first due to all the reviews saying “how there’s a lot of bugs” but Im glad I still played it because I didn’t experience any bugs or issues !!

Good game, glitchy and not great interface
This game was enjoyable to play. I ranked it 3 starts because halfway through the story, it glitched and wouldn’t let me move forward (scene painting the tree got stuck). I tried rebooting my phone, reloading the app. Nothing worked and I was forced to start the story over.
The interface needs a lot of work. I found myself doing things unintentionally, going to wrong rooms, selecting wrong choices, and such. The story also seems to jump around and sometimes fails to connect past choices.
I really liked the actual story and the concept behind this game is really good. I hope they fix the glitches with this one, I would still recommend playing it. Be mindful that it doesn’t save continuously, there are spots that you’ll need to go back to when you come back to the game, you may need to redo a scene.

good game
i really liked this game!! i’m not a gamer of any sorts but i’ve played many apple arcade games and this one was interesting. i liked the audio for the characters speaking, since many opt for the audience to read it instead. I liked the multiple endings and how it can affect the relationship with the other characters. I did find that the controls were a little annoying when navigating through rooms, and i wish it was a little longer. (i played on an IPad) loved it nonetheless!

A Story I Enjoyed, A Game That is Fine
Next Stop Nowhere offers a pretty compelling cast of characters to get attached to with great writing and a quirky future world. I really enjoy Beckett’s relationship with Cody and Serra and I wanted to know what they’d get through. That said, there’s several gameplay polish issues I think could use some touching up. For one, navigation with touch just isn’t consistent enough. Sometimes tapping something will just not do the thing, even when it plays the sound effect registering that you tapped it. This happened pretty much throughout the game so be prepared for micro issues that will slowly build up into a damper. Another micro issue is that dialogue will jump immediately from one line to the next without any natural pause. I really enjoyed exploring, but keep in mind that this is effectively a walking simulator. There are some minor to mid impact choices to make, but as far as gameplay goes, that’s mostly it. There’s also a ship driving mini game but that’s few and far between and not all that interesting anyways. Still, I’d recommend everyone give this a go. It’s cool to see the developers of oxenfree give Apple Arcade a go.

Sad
I want to review this game higher. But the controls are buggy and if I switch to my controller all the buttons are off and I have to remember which ones to use. The inventory pops up randomly. After I pick up Eddy the game just locks up progress. I’m walking aimlessly around the ship with nothing to do. It’s painful. The story is well written and the art is superb but it’s like a team of all artists and writers got together and forgot to hire someone to work on the actual programming

Great at first but more buggy as I progressed, can’t complete
I have enjoyed playing the game, and the story. So much potential here. I think the music score is very fitting. I found the controls a bit frustrating, as it was too easy to go past the marker and then have to backtrack, but not so much so to make me stop playing. Flying can be hard to aim, it sometimes looks like you are clear but then you still hit something. Unfortunately as the game progressed so did the bugs and difficulty to control, and at one point a ramp would not appear for me to progress. Closing and then reopening the game a couple of times corrected this issue. Sadly I now cannot enter Jeb’s ship. I have closed, reopened, rebooted, and even offloaded then reinstalled. I still cannot get the camera shift and prompt to enter his ship, and so cannot complete the game.

Clumsy but cute, still worth a play.
It’s hard to disparage this game, since it is engaging, fun, and unique. It’s style and voice acting really make it entertaining.
That being said, it’s definitely in need of some serious polish. The controls are clumsy and distract from the overall experience. Just going from one room to another can be hit-or-miss if you’re not standing in just the right spot, for example. Some areas of the game are almost impossible to get to, however necessary they are for progression. Polygons crash and disappear and jump around randomly… the diner scene, for example, is just about as clumsy as gameplay could be- you really have to want to keep going to not just quit.
Therein lies the rub. For me, it was the voice acting and the choose-your-own-adventure style character interactions (and consequent dialogue) that engaged me. It was still cute and fun, despite its shortcomings. It deserves at least one play though.

Good Game…but glitchy
I really enjoy the game, and the storyline is interesting. I’m having issues with crashing and glitches. Seems like every time I finish a scene, the game crashes while it’s trying to load the next one. Then there’s been some random glitches where a conversation that already played replays in a different area. Not sure what that’s about.
I give 4 stars because it has potential for greatness.

Game Keeps Crashing, Can’t Finish Game
I have enjoyed the game but at the section of the game named “The Bounty”, the game immediately crashes after all of the initial dialog. I have encountered crashes earlier in the game but it worked after a restart. This time nothing is helping so now I am stuck and cannot finish the game. Very disappointing.
Update: I was finally able to get the game to last a few more seconds before crashing and it got to the next auto save point and then it was ok after I restarted but this game still crashes too much for a published app.
Update 2: I am now encountering the same problem another person mention in their review. After dialog ends, I am supposed to interact with a ship but there is no interact option. Restarting the game does not work. I guess I am never going to finish this game.

Funny, short, excellent voice actors!
I finished this in around 5 hours, liked it the whole way through. Definitely think it’s an underrated game, the voice acting was great and the story was unique. I did start to experience bugs after I resumed the second time around and there isn’t a whole lot that you really do besides walk from point A to B. For some reason the game merges different possible storylines and I found that occasionally it would pick the opposite of my choice. I try not to let things like that distract from the experience so, overall, I simply enjoyed getting to meet new characters, travel, and water my plant. I could definitely do a chapter 2 and 3! If there were more puzzles and bugs got ironed out, 5/5 for sure!

Was impressed at first...
Well...where do I begin. There’s some bugs here that are really just annoying. They stop you from doing missions. That’s probably the smaller side of my 2 star rating. For me, the dialogue is trash between the characters. Everyone talks like they’re hesitant to spit out what they really want to say. A lot of ums, uhs, long pauses and hesitation. It’s super annoying and drags the game out as well as makes me sleepy and not even want to play the game. Sad because I was impressed before but...as of right now, I want to treat my hair out from the dialogue.

Not Enough Gameplay Variety and Bugs
When I first started playing Next Stop Nowhere I was excited! The characters, environments, music, and art style were all to my liking. But as the story got going a bunch of problems (bugs, lack of gameplay variety, dialogue issues, etc) started to ruin the magic of the first hour of my playthrough. First off the bugs are numerous. I didn’t encounter anything game-breaking, but lets just say it was immersion-breaking. For example: dialogue not being spoken, characters running in circles mid-conversation, items miraculously appearing in my inventory that I knew I hadn’t picked up, and at one point the robot bounty hunter’s voice changed from his usual mechanical sound, to how I’m guessing the voice actor would sound normally. The lack of gameplay variety on the other hand, made the experience start to lull as you near the halfway point of the roughly 4 hour story. The game badly needed puzzle gameplay to make the player feel as if they were accomplishing something when walking through the game’s different levels. But instead of any kind of puzzle, you mindlessly walk around diverting power to doorways and devices with no thought process whatsoever. As a result, I was ready for the game to be over once I had reached the conclusion of this little journey. I wish they had ironed out these issues before shipping because it had so much potential!

Hold your finger on screen to move
I just found out that you can hold your finger down on the screen in the direction you want to move. I find this much smoother than having to tap constantly, and that may help with some of the issues other reviewers have pointed out?
Either way it’s a properly fun game. I love the sound track and the art direction, the characters and dialogue are believable and interesting, and the voice acting is really great as well.
The overall mood of the game is just really cool.

Great story, 5 star if glitches are fixed
The story and characters are engaging, and the writing is great. I love the green space ✨
I’ve run into some errors, however. The controls are a bit finicky with going through doorways sometimes - having the character able to walk through doors looks nice, but doesn’t actually trigger the next room, so I have to walk it back into the original room (without being able to see the character until it’s through the doorway) so that the button pops up to go to the next room.
That’s fairly minor, but the bigger glitch is that at some points the choices don’t lead to the right story branch. (Spoiler warning)
I selected to go to the son’s job, but then in the ship, switched to going to his home. (Maybe that’s what caused the issue?) Everything worked immediately afterwards. The ship flew to the home, and I was able to finish (i assume) everything there. However, after leaving, during the dialogue with the friends, my characters started talking about the son’s boss and maya. I’m assuming that section would have made sense if I had gone to the job?
Looking forward to updates!

Amazing, but crashes
This is an amazing game, I love the characters, story color palettes, everything, but there is one major problem, crashing. I don’t know if it’s specific to my device (an iPad) but I find that every chapter or so, it crashes. And I’m right now, at the location after the diner, and every time I go through the first bit, it crashes right after Sara finished talking before I go in, I hope this bug is fixed so I can finish this amazing game ❤️

Jeeze...
Even with bugs, crashes, and occasional continuity errors, I was still loving and playing this game. But now I’m supposed to board the derelict ship and there’s absolutely nothing to interact with to do so. I have walked over the entire station, looking for something I can tap on. The only thing I can even see that could be tappable is the lock icon for re-boarding my ship. I’ve reopened, reloaded the game from the menu, hard restarted my iPad, nothing helps. I’ve replayed the same dialogue so many times I know it by heart. Really frustrated. Never spent this long trying to continue a buggy game. If a door appeared in my game I’d go right back to playing, it’s so very fun. But nope. And I don’t have the heart to go all the way back to the very start, especially since this could just happen again.

Great game!!!
Im very bad at writing reviews , but this game is absolutely amazing. I’ve been a good time playing it but.... I’ve encountered many bugs along the way, this last one keeping me from finishing the game. I’ve tried restarting the game and the phone many times but it just won’t show the options it must.
I’m getting stuck in the part where Nyx is supposed to paint a tree and I have to give her the paint...but I keep getting the paint and no options show to give it to her , it’s so weird. :(
I want to finish the game so badly please help

Amazing
Honestly, the story to this is so fun and amusing. There are glitches and interactive annoyances like when clicking areas/things, it’ll click the wrong thing or also when blasting off, characters and screens get stuck. But honestly, when I had this issue, I would go to the main menu again and then hit continue. The bugs/errors do not take away from the story/game at all in my opinion. I love games like these and felt like it gave more than usual amounts of interactive-ness! Lol.

Fantastic characters
The writing for the characters was very enjoyable for me. The story was more of a conduit for the characters to shine. Honestly the segments where it tried to be a game (ie hacking and terminal minigames and ship traversal segments) were the worst parts. However the dialog and the characters were so well written that it was easy for me to overlook the games shortcomings. Reminded me of the oldschool point and click adventure games. The writting, characters and voice work are worth the the 4 stars in my book.
