I wasted hours and hours trying to set this up, and then I look at the comments here and everyone has the same problem. Thinking it was just me and I couldn’t do it, but clearly there something wrong with the whole system of the cameras and the software.complete junk

Rubbish
Bought from the good guys and will throw in the bin, the app can’t even load once downloaded. Thought I’d get a cheap one to move around outside to monitor driveway as have home security and Arlo cameras but this app is useless.
Utter rubbish
A complete waste of money. Support is next to non-existing and the camera simply does not function. The reseller was no use either. After more than 2 weeks I’m giving up. Buyers…beware. This app and their associated products should be avoided.
Don’t bother
App won’t pair wifi with camera. Probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever had to do. Spent the best part of three hours trying to pair this thing with no results. I just had a read and found numerous similar reviews.
Don’t buy!!
This app is terrible. The alarm never goes off as the app turns it off all the time. Alarm only goes off about once every ten times. Not reliable at all. I don’t always get the notifications either. Waste of money.
Notifications Don’t work, non existent customer support
2021-08-22: DO NOT BUY!!!! No response for help, customer support is non existent on their app or the cameras! Id give this a zero, but that is not possible, why is that Apple?

This advertising connect in 30seconds I’d like to see anyone do it that time I’ve been trying off and on for a week would not recommend this to anyone

Can’t read the timeline.
The app is good, but when someone comes to the door and you want to replay and look at the footage the timeline is almost the same colour as the black background and you can’t read the time. Needs to be changed to white for the iPhone dark mode.

Doesn’t send alerts to my phone when the alarm sounds. Like it says it will. In fact this camera does nothing much at at.

Great product for price
This is a great product for what you pay. Easy to pair and good interface. Would recommend.

Nextech 1080p Wi-Fi IP Camera QC3857
The camera has proven impressive once a couple of Wi-Fi extenders (TP-Link AC750) were plugged in between the router and cameras to improve our home's Wi-Fi range and stability. The camera systems' iphone application to control and view the image and two-way sound, infrared night vision, motion detection & quad spotlight illumination would however benefit from a couple of minor enhancements:
The main viewing screen already has soft-keys to toggle sound picked up at the camera or from your iPhone to a speaker on the camera. It would be good to add one to toggle the spotlights too.
The settings screen for a particular camera can enable an alarm if motion is detected at the camera, presumably via sensed nearby body heat or a change in background infrared intensity, with an option switch to turn on the spotlights in addition to the camera five second alarm sound and alert notification at the iphone. The spotlights then seem to stay on unfortunately rather than tuning off after a little while like the sound effect at the camera! It seems you need to have enabled the spotlights in the settings screen or page for the given camera. It would be good if you did not not need to have the spotlights soft switch set on for that to work - they ought be independent selections.
It would be good were one able to just automatically illuminate the spotlights for a short time (ideally specifiable) when motion sensed without the alarm notification at the iPhone or iPad (but perhaps with a chime at the camera). That would allow a clear colour image to be recorded of nighttime visitors provided one has inserted a microSD card the right way up - ie with the deposited metal contacts facing the circuit card they slide against.
It would also be good were a visitor dwell time threshold (three seconds say) to apply before the motion alarms, spotlights, and notifications would actuate then passing foot-traffic would not trigger things and so would not disturb the household unnecessarily.
These are minor user interface refinement requests - the supplier may well be able to provide the improvements by simply updating the NetSee and NEXTECH smartcam apps on the app store.

Very very hopeless spent half an hour trying to connect it and it still doesn’t connect and very irritating soundwave that you have to use to connect to the camera

Ripped off
Old app unsupported kind of worked until last iOS update. Now nothing with show new stuff won’t bind. Grubby thieves why sold this stuff 2 me just over 3 months ago
Needs a widget
Would love a widget so I can add this to shortcuts .. also needs a WiFi select from list rather then a type in your WiFi name. Apart from that it’s not bad.
