Works like a charm!
Love this app! It does exactly what it says it will and well! I’d had some issues in previous RSS implementations but this and my NextCloud AIO self hosted install works 100% like a charm! I’m grateful!!!
Doesn’t connect
Wasted 20 minutes with trying to get logged in to my News server on Nextcloud. Set up api password and verified everything is working correctly, even used Chat for troubleshooting to no avail. Sadly no way to get past login screen.

Hey! I‘ve just released a new major version of Nextnews, could you try if the login works now? If it doesn’t, which error are you getting? Creating an API password shouldn’t be necessary on your end since Nextnews requests an API password by itself after you authenticate using the in-app browser. If the new release doesn’t solve the issue, hit me up on the „app support“ button listed on the App Store page.

Stabile App
Einfach, schlicht und stabil ist die App. Ich vermisse ein dark Mode und offline lesen, sowieso innerhalb eines Folders alles gelesen markieren. Es scheint keine Updates mehr zu geben seit 2 Jahren. Das ist echt schade. Ich hoffe, dass es nur eine längere Pause ist.

If the articles would open inside the app instead of opening in my browser I would use this and give it 5 stars. But opening in the browser is not user friendly. I really wish this one thing would be adjusted.

Sehr gut lesbar. Auch das gelesen beim scrollen funktioniert. Bester Reader für Nextcloud News im Store. Würde nicht auch eine Suchfunktion Sinn machen? >Zur Info: Habe die Tage auf iPadOS 26 umgestellt und festgestellt, dass beim zurückspringen aus dem Webbrowser, mit dem ich die News geöffnet hatte, Nextnews auf die erst bereits gelesene News springt. Wenn man schon viele News gelesen hat, muss ich mich erst wieder zur letzen Ungelesenen springen, oder einen Sync durchführen.

Not many rss apps for iOS but this one gets the job done and even supports iPad . Better than using the web browser imo.

Die App funktioniert immer noch gut und das, obwohl die letzte Version wohl vor zwei Jahren rauskam. Sehr schade, dass die Weiterentwicklung stockt. sie funktioniert immer noch tadellos. Ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge hätte ich schon noch.

No OPML Import
Can’t really test it out, it looks promising - looks like it’s not encumbered with superfluous features, looks like it’s just got the essentials which is perfect but unfortunately, without OPML import and export, it’s not usable.
No Moving feeds after created into folder??
How is there no ability to move feeds once made into folders. Easy 5 if this is changed or i figure out that its actually already possible
