I did not sign up for auto renew and now they’ve taken £60 of my money that I can’t afford.
Complete scam
Got a years gift card for them to retire the Samsung tv app so couldn’t watch it on anything other than phone. Complete waste of money, very disappointing

Live Streams!
Always enjoyed watching the odd stand up especially from new British and Canadian comedians on the app, but the last year of live streaming is why I’m now reviewing. It’s epic! Pretty much a new live show every other night, catching all the shows from various festivals, even the fact you can see the finalists of all the new act competitions live on the night is just incredible. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for edinburgh!

Can’t subscribe on the app
Used this up a couple of years ago it was really good, now you can’t subscribe on the app anymore, oh well

I don’t even watch stand up comedy so it was pretty unlikely that I would give this app a go. But, because of the monopoly McDonald’s event, I got a free 1 month subscription to this and I tested it out. There’s quite a lot on offer, for what you’re getting. I probably won’t be using it constantly, maybe just once in a while. But it’s sort of worth it

RESOLVED and access restored

The specific problem that I complained about in this review, of the free trial ending days early, was actually not resolved before I the week ended and I was charged for a full year’s subscription. HOWEVER after a complaint on TrustPilot I got a response and I’ve been granted access to the subscription I paid for. I’m still not happy but I have a comedy show playing on my laptop so my mood will improve.

I’m in the middle of the free trial week. Updated my password. The app and the desktop both say I’m logged in yet I’m now locked out of all content. Support said they would try to have it sorted in a few days, which will be too late. Not a good way to convince someone to buy a year’s subscription.

Price is good shame there is around 3 good comedians and zero N.I comedians even thought there the best around right now

Love how this app is a way to watch an amazing range of stand up and showcases comedy by women in particular. Truly the Edinburgh Fringe on-demand. Well worth a fiver a month!

Gold mine for lifting jokes
Although they are getting more and more comedians you recognise, what’s great is that there are so many unknowns... and that is fantastic for pinching jokes to use down the pub. Every goon goes on about “out out”, but everyone knows you are quoting someone else. But use the thousands of jokes, stories and one liners from NextUp and the whole pub will think you’re a comedy god and you get to take all the glory. Genius

Good idea but too expensive for what you get, you can get loads of clips from most comedians on YouTube.

Superb. Just the best content from comics that I'd never have otherwise heard of at this stage in their career. We all know someone that claims they saw Bill Hicks live or that they knew Louis CK before he got famous (yeah, I know), but now with Next Up you really will get to see the next real risings stars
