About
Night Market Bites turns your kitchen into seven night markets at once. Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam — more than 130 real street-food dishes, all in one app.
Every dish comes from the actual night markets and bunsik shops of Asia: tteokbokki and gua bao, khao soi and hoy tod, takoyaki and okonomiyaki, nasi lemak and laksa, halo-halo and fishballs, banh xeo and caphe sua da — plus the popcorn chicken that rules Taiwanese night markets.
HOW IT WORKS
• The Market Hall lists seven districts — one per country. Walk into a district, browse its stalls, cook the real thing.
• Each recipe is written from the counter up: local name with pronunciation, key flavors, exact ratios, and the substitutions real home cooks use.
• Master steps with large step text and a duration for every step, so nothing burns while you read.
HIGHLIGHTS
• 130+ authentic recipes across 7 countries, each with country-correct categories (bunsik, yakimono, konamono, pasar sweets and more)
• Local Order Card: the native name and phonetic pronunciation for every dish, so you can confidently order or shop for wee bits
• Metric & US units: switch every ingredient between g/ml and oz/cup
• Taste Passport: track the stalls you have toured across all seven countries
• Pocket List: save favorites from any country into one cross-country list
• 8 languages: English first, switching to Traditional Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Filipino, Vietnamese
• Every recipe shows prep+cook time, servings, calories, and difficulty
PRIVACY FIRST: no account, no sign-up, no tracking. Your passport stamps and pocket list stay on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
DISCOVERY MADE EASY
Filter each district by its own authentic street-food categories, or jump straight into any stall from the district header. Substitutions are built into the ingredient cards so hard-to-find items never block your cooking.
