good

It’s a great app. However, when deleting the RAW file of a portrait-orientation photo, the newly created JPG file becomes rotated to landscape orientation. An update is needed so that the photo rotation matches the original by using the metadata.

Helped me reduce library size

Cleaned up backlog of RAW photos I no longer needed

Fantastic all

This works great! Been looking for something like this for so long.

Doesn’t finish the job

It does a good job of what it does but it gets tiring quickly to set it off on a bunch of photos then it decides it will only do 2, 10, maybe 20 and cuts out. So you have to select and start again until after 15 attempts they’re gone

Erstklassig

Aus unnötigen RAW Dateien kann man schnell und unkompliziert JPEG oder HEIC machen. Es behält die sichtbaren Qualität, das originale Datum und auch die Zuordnung zu Alben bei. Genau was ich gesucht habe. Super kleine App. Vielen Dank

Does what it says

Well it used to do the job done, convert RAW files to Heif keeping the HDR effect and all the metadata. The problem is that recently (maybe with ios26) the converted Heif file has a strong banding effect (for example a sky during sunset) which really ruins everything. Please fix it

Response from developer

Hi John, we have fixed the banding issue with our latest release. Thank you for the feedback!

Fantastic

Very pretty app that does what it claims to perfectly, eg delete RAW data from Halide RAW+JPEG pairs.

Please update the description to mention that it works on those in addition to RAW + HEIC files, it was not clear before I tried the app :)

Haven’t tried the RAW to JPEG automatic conversion, but while I’m sure some appreciate its inclusion, if you don’t intend to edit RAW manually, why are you shooting RAW?

Gradients destroyed

As of this moment it's very harsh on subtle gradients like the haze in the sky - too much compression, so it seems. Please fix the issue! I would love to use this app.

Crucial tool for saving iCloud storage space

I just used this app to delete over 11,000 JPEG+RAW photo pairs and reclaimed 400GB of space from my iCloud. I ran it on my M2 MacBook Air over night and in the morning all I had to do was confirm the delete in the photos app.

It did freeze and throw up an error on that delete process though. But just quitting the app and restarting, the app picks up where it leaves off and notifies you that it will finish processing.

Overall pretty smooth experience. Would recommend to anyone struggling after transferring JPEG+RAW pairs from a camera SD card and seeing their iCloud usage overfill.

Just what i needed!

Works as advertised. Seems limited to deleting about 100 photos at a time. Wish it could do more but this is better than nothing for certain!

Work as expected!

Worked as expected, and separated my RAW+HEIF (even some RAW+JPEGS) into HEIC files which saved me on iCloud space (exported the RAW for safe keeping), I am actually quite pleased to pay for this given how impossible a task this would have been without this app. May be nice to be able to specify what file type the output is, sometimes I prefer to keep the JPEG for example.

One issue I encountered, is that you have to process in small chunks, if you do too many the app will crash and leave duplicate images inside your iCloud. I managed to remove the duplicates fairly easily looking at the “Recently Saved”.

Also given you have to do smaller batches, the UI of selecting a single image at a time is quite painful, I wouldn’t be against some sort of multiple selection UI improvement (that isn’t SELECT ALL because that would be too many).

Thanks for the app though, help me out a lot.

Response from developer

Thanks for the review and glad you're digging NO RAW. We have improved the handling of large batches in our latest update (1.8), and, if the app does crash...a button will now appear that lets you delete any RAWs that have already been processed. Hopefully this resolves your issues. Happy shooting!

Very useful tool

Works just as advertised. Great way to save storage space if the RAW file isn't worth keeping because the JPEG is "good enough".
However, please give us an option to sort through all photos, maybe in smaller chunks of "all from June" or "all from 2024". Would love to see this.

Response from developer

Thanks for the review and feedback! The latest update includes a date picker as you suggested.

It get the job done

It’s slow when I’m deleting hundreds of raw photos but it does get the job done. One issue I found is that the select all/disselect button have white fonts in bright mode which made these 2 buttons invisible. Only when I turn on dark mode these buttons can be visible.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! We have tweaked the interface so the Select All / Deselect buttons are always visible in our latest update.

Amazing Support App!

I was looking for an app that could make my photos smaller after editing. And this allows for just that! Definitely worth the price for the time it saves me with my photos.

Does exactly what it says.

Fast and to the point.
