What's New in No Roads

1.9.1

July 8, 2026

What's New in Version 1.9.1 - Smarter account recognition: if an email is already tied to an existing account, the app now offers the option to sign in instead of creating a duplicate. - Improved connectivity during sign-in and onboarding on restricted or highly managed networks. - Coordinate search: search by raw GPS coordinates, including formats copied from outside sources like map links. - Search result pin: a temporary pin appears at the center of your search location so you can clearly see where the map has taken you. - Performance and stability improvements, including reliability updates for hazard reporting and real-time location updates, plus behind-the-scenes infrastructure and security improvements.

User reviews

Great app, missing one major feature

The app is great, works perfectly, and as I would expect. The biggest issue I have, there is no CarPlay connectivity. I would prefer to use the map on my in car screen, rather than my phone. Add this feature, and you will easily have a 5 star app

Unusable when weak internet

Seems nice until you can't open app when cellular is only 1 bar. Def not a reliable offline GPS mapping app.

I tried NoRoads app after meeting the guys at Overland Expo. At first I liked NoRoads, but I quickly discovered that without internet the app is 100% useless. When I was hiking in mtns without good internet (1 bar of cellular), NoRoads would not let me use it at all because it gets stuck at Logging In.

What? NoRoads only works on major paved roads?? Sadly, w/o solid internet this app is a non-starter. When I returned to civilization their tech support was responsive and sympathetic.

If NoRoads can enable a true offline mode (also considering areas of weak internet), I would be happy to try it again. Deleted.

Response from developer

Hi there, Thanks for trying No Roads at Overland Expo and for the detailed feedback. We're sorry the login issue frustrated you in low-connectivity areas - that's exactly where the app should work best. Good news: we've fixed the login bug you experienced. The app now works with minimal connection and is built for remote adventures like your mountain hikes. We recommend saving maps for offline use to ensure they work regardless of connection strength. Just select any area and save it for offline access - you can choose any size. This guarantees you can navigate without any connection at all. No Roads is designed specifically for off-road adventures, not just paved roads. We'd love for you to give it another try now that we've addressed the offline login issue. If you have questions, reach out to support@noroads.app. Happy trails, The No Roads Team

AZ Off-roading

Came across the company at the AZOverland Expo. Once I left I used the app to navigate to my favorite camping spot. Super accurate and worked flawlessly. Stoked to support an up and coming company. 🤙🏽

Used for Snowmobiling and skiing

I use this app on a snowmobile trip and it worked awesome I was able to record a ride and see what my top speed was in compared with all of my buddies. The mapping is great and shows all the trails that we needed to go on and what we needed to take. I was able to download off-line maps for use in poor cellular connection activity and areas. I also used this app for skiing at a mountain way up north that has no cell signal as well and you ski through the woods on this app every single trail was labeled and it was very very helpful to have that capability we used to have to rely on memory to remember where we were going, and if we would have to hike if we took a certain trail, but this app eliminated that and allowed us to know exactly where we needed to go.

I’m excited to use this for mountain biking and hiking as well.

Amazing

I can’t believe the quality of the maps! The ability to mark hazards is amazing. Can’t wait to use on the coast this summer when we go on vacation!
