Two stars right off
Curious as to why ‘Ram’ is not listed in ‘What vehicle do you drive?’ The app wouldn’t let me continue until I picked ‘Jeep’, which is wrong. Will the app’s info now for my trips be misdirecting me into situations my Ram can’t safely do? Will update the stars if/when Ram is added to the list.
Not getting spoofed on a trail!!!!
How many times have I heard, “That app left me hanging” in reference to a off road app? Way too many!!!! I know the story until I started using TRAILOFFROAD. You will find tires and feet on the ground first hand documentation for the trail, links to area weather, permits needed, and navigation on and to the trailhead. GET OUT THERE!!!!! use code JPNJOHN. The BEST off road app!
Excellent product and support. Good off-line maps and follow mode, descriptive and apt trail guides, and an active group of trail crew and user-sourced reviews. Have tried several others but Trails Off-road is my favorite and the go-to app of my Jeep club as well.

So many features, like
- down loadable maps,
- follow feature to help stay on the trail,
- extensive trail network data in the USA
- very accurate trail data which has been verified and quality control checked
- very accurate trail rating system to help you do trails within your capability
- easy access to review trails for planning purposes like an overall map of trails in the USA, search and filtering functions
- app is great but they also have a website with the information. So for planning bigger adventures, you might use the website and then on the trail - the information is handy in this app
- great organization with their priorities straight, promoting care for the trails, not going off trail or littering etc..
- trail guides show point by point features like obstacles, bypasses, scenic things etc. As you travel the trail, you can easily see where you are on the app and what features are coming up, this is outstanding.

Best App to Safely Navigate Trails!
I’ve been using Trails Offroad since 2020 and it’s been a life saver! The app shows trail ratings, waypoints and descriptions of the waypoints, and has an easy way to find trails based on a map or trails by state! The list feature is great for adding trails to a future expedition! The trail guides are the best out there-tons of info, helpful tips, and pictures! This makes me feel confident that my vehicle will make it through the trails!
