No Longer Working

The app no longer downloads METAR information. I have used this app with pleasure for several years on iPhone and iPad. Suddenly, about two weeks ago, it stopped downloading both current and predicted weather for all of my starred airports. I have tried updating but that didn’t help.

Nice app but…

This is a nice app and I’ve had it for several years. Now I just notice a problem. For KACY and KPHL the barometric pressure is being report as 758.161 inches of HG. This wrong. The correct unit of measure should be 758.161 mm of HG. If you use inches of HG it should read 29.82 inches of HG. I don’t know if this just started but it needs to be corrected. The standard unit of measure in the US and Japan is inches of Hg. The rest of the world uses hectopascals, hPa or millibars, mb.

Once good, now deteriorating.

This was once a great app but its performance is deteriorating. It is meant to provide easy access to METAR reports and TAF forecasts together with translations. However the TAF reports are now being cut off halfway, and there are errors in the translation. Developers do not respond to bug reports.

What kind of weather data does this app provide?

This app provides real-time aviation weather data, including METAR (Meteorological Aerodrome Report) and TAF (Terminal Aerodrome Forecast) reports. It also offers current weather conditions, sunrise and sunset times, wind speed and direction, air temperature, dew point, precipitation, and flight category information for numerous weather stations worldwide.

How can I find weather information for a specific airport?

You can search for weather stations and airports globally by name, description, region, US state, or by using their geolocation coordinates (latitude and longitude). The app supports GPS location services to find nearby stations. You can also create custom stations starting from their ICAO code.

Is this app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, offering access to a vast amount of aviation weather data and core features. There is an optional premium subscription available on a monthly basis per device, which unlocks enhanced features like METAR/TAF learning tools, quizzes, wind alerts for favorite airports, and custom font sizes.
