About

Eight hours in bed and still tired? "Time in bed" is the wrong number. Noctuary reads the sleep and heart data your Apple Watch already records, and turns it into three answers every morning: how rested you are, why, and the one thing to do about it today. It all happens on your iPhone — no account, and no server holding your data. WHAT YOU GET • Readiness — a 0–100 morning score with the three biggest reasons behind it, compared with your own baseline rather than an average person's. • Real sleep debt — hours owed across the last 14 nights, weighted so recent nights count for more, plus a gradual payback plan. One lie-in cannot clear it. • Energy curve — a forecast of today's peaks, your afternoon dip, your caffeine cut-off and when to start winding down. • Disturbances — what broke up last night, written as plain sentences: wake-ups, heart-rate rises, breathing, temperature, bedtime drift. • Habit tags — caffeine, alcohol, late meals, screens, stress. Saved to Apple Health, not to us. Over time you can see your own patterns. • Night audio, if you want it — off until you turn it on. It keeps a rolling five minutes, and saves it when the room gets loud relative to its own background, at a sensitivity you set. Tap a wake-up to hear what the room sounded like. • Your sleep journal — your nights as a PDF you can password-protect and keep, shared only if you choose to. • On-device coach — ask about your sleep and get an answer built from your own numbers. It runs on the iPhone and works in flight mode. • Trends — time asleep, sleep debt, readiness, and a chart of when you actually slept each night, over 14, 30, 90, 180 or 360 nights. The last one shows a scattered bedtime for what it is. • Your overnight measurements, each on its own chart — heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, wrist temperature and breathing disturbances. Shown against your own normal, with no interpretation attached. • Reminders — a nudge at your caffeine cut-off, your last drink, wind-down and bedtime. Each time is worked out from your own sleep, not a fixed hour. • A morning check-in — one tap to say whether you woke refreshed, fine, groggy or exhausted. The app shows you how often its score agreed with you, and says so plainly when it didn't. • Guided recovery — wind-down routines, paced breathing, light plans and naps. • Listen — every insight can be read aloud, including a morning briefing. PRIVACY YOU CAN CHECK • No account, no sign-up, no password. • No analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs. • Your results are encrypted on the device and excluded from backups. • Face ID app lock, redacted widgets and generic notifications — on by default. • One-tap erase destroys the encryption key first, so your data is unreadable immediately. Your Apple Health data is untouched. • Habit tags are written to Apple Health, which Apple encrypts end to end. BUILT FOR REAL SCHEDULES Night shifts, offshore rotations, a newborn, long-haul flights. The body-clock model follows your own sleep times, and the whole app works with no connection. ACCESSIBLE BY DEFAULT Dyslexia-friendly type, generous spacing, plain English, full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type up to AX5, and audio for every insight. REQUIREMENTS iPhone with iOS 18 or later and sleep recorded into Apple Health. An Apple Watch worn to bed gives the most: Series 6 or later for blood oxygen, Series 8 or Ultra for wrist temperature. A ring, band or other sleep app works too — switch on "Include other apps' data", which is off until you do. The on-device coach needs an Apple Intelligence–capable iPhone; other devices get a simpler rule-based coach. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Noctuary is a general wellness app. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a medical device. If something about your sleep worries you, please talk to your GP.
