About
A quick check with someone you know.
Connect with your person in real life once: scan a code, compare the six-digit number on both phones, and both confirm.
On a phone call, video call, or in person, choose their name and create a Nod. Share the link through your usual messages. They open it and use their passkey to confirm only if the question is true.
Your whole screen turns green for a current approval. A decline turns it red. No reply turns it amber, with a clear label. The reply window ends after 90 seconds. No reply does not prove a scam; pause and contact the person separately using a number you know.
Practice spotting scams through the free learning cards, available from the app in your browser. The cards are fictional examples, with short explanations after each answer.
• Free to use. No ads or subscriptions.
• Large buttons and a larger-text option.
• Share through your phone’s usual share sheet.
• Send a Nod from iPhone Shortcuts or your Android app icon.
• Camera scanning is optional; paste a pairing link instead.
• No location, microphone, address-book, or message access.
• Export your data or delete your Nod in settings.
Nod verifies that a connected passkey approved a specific question. It does not detect deepfakes, authenticate the voice or video on a call, establish legal identity or physical location, or guarantee a payment is safe. Passkeys may sync through their provider. Verify money requests independently.
This release is intended for adults aged 18 and older in the United States. Recipients need a Nod and a prior in-person connection. Keep the result screen open; Nod does not send push notifications.
