Pointless app
Unfortunately switched from a MyQ garage door opener to NOMA. App is GARBAGE compared.
Why can’t I set up a recurring schedule to have my garage door close nightly? I did this with myq in case we or a kid forgot to close it at the end of the night.

Pas assez de modes de vitesses, 1-petit, 2-moyen, 3-fort, la différence entre le le lent et le moyen est juste phénoménale! Il aurait été bon de prévoir un réglage supplémentaire voir même 2! Pour augmenter la vitesse de filtration sans allez dans des pics de décibels monstrueux la nuit👍🏼

nB: les minuteurs de 4/6/8h pareil dommage qu’il n’existe pas via l’application une ou deux autres minuteries ou pourquoi pas un curseur personnalisable???🙏🏼

Terrible UX
The app is terrible. There are so many bugs and the UX is horrible. CTC should have just asked CLAUDE to design the app. You would think that a simple app such as this would be a bit easier to design. V6.5.1 there is no way to delete old experiences, so the interface gets clouded up with old experiences. That for some reason still triggers devices even though you’re not able to edit them.

Shotty UI & UX
The app keeps disconnecting from the AC; I’ll get numerous notifications that the AC has been disconnected from the network. The “Experience” settings always shows an error upon saving. There isn’t even any flashing cursor in the app feedback form. In 2026, there is no excuse. At least the app works 70% of the time, hence the 2 stars.

Dont waste your time trying to use the app
This app is absolutely garbage. Weve had it with our ac unit for a couple years now and its been iffy since the beginning, but the past few months its truly just nose dived. I can turn the unit on or off with my app and select which mode but it stopped allowing me to change any other settings.
For ex. When i turn it onto cool it automatically starts at 26degrees (the warmest option) but it wont allow me to decrease the temp. So now i have to manually decrease the temperature on the unit. Switching the fan speed in any mode is near impossible if it lets you at all. Ive deleted and downloaded the app so many times in hopes of change but nothing ever does except my annoyance towards this now useless app

Consider including pairing instructions in the app
Would be easier for wifi pairing if the instructions were included in the app instead of referring to online or the user manual.
Easy to install, complicated to edit schedules!
I bought 2 of the NOMA smart wifi plugs. Adding the first plug was easy but when I set it up to turn on at a certain time and turn off 2 hours later, it turns on (most of the time) but never turns off. Trying to edit this in the settings has been difficult and despite trying several times to redo the settings, I can’t get it to turn off. I have only had it 2-3 weeks and my plan is to return it. It is easy to manually open the app and turn it on. I don’t know if the second plug would be better, but the editing of the schedule in the app is so difficult I don’t want to bother. I took screen shots and tried using ChatGPT, but it keeps saying everything is correct.

Easy to install
It notify me when the dehumidifier tank is full. Wish it would also add money in my bank account when the tank isn’t full.
Setup is frustrating
Also why do you need to know my location to operate the device. Makes no sense. Signing in to an account to turn on a light is crazy work.
WORST App EVER
I wish I never bought such a low end product resulting solely on the App. The absolutely dumb “Experiences” are NOT easy as 1-2-3. The lights come on but from what I see, the end schedule time has never worked, along with the equally stupid colours and names have never saved. Taking this product back to Canadian Tire. Going back to buying Genni.

Poorly Designed App
I would not give even a single start if I could. Such a poorly made app and very annoying to use. Glitches all the time. I just can’t believe Canadian Tire can’t come up with a better app for their Noma brand.
New update sucks
Worked totally fine for over a year, then did the most recent update & now doesn’t work at all.
password reset doesn’t work
password reset doesn’t work. also goes unresponsive every now and then.
Cant put turn off timer
I check everyday of the week to close it then save, but it doesnt save it keeps the exact day and time as a unique turn off instead of saving for all days of the week with my preset time off…

Response to developer - why would I need to contact your 1-800 to pass along feedback? That’s literally the point of reviews.
Coming from MyQ and Chamberlain products this app and the machine are a huge downgrade. It was a gift for my new house so free is free but come on, it lacks basic features. I used to have a schedule to close my garage daily at 11pm, just in case it got left open so it doesn’t stay like the overnight.
The only option you have with this is too physically set up an automatic shutdown of 3 or 5 mins after opening. This is useless as I want to keep my door open at times when I’m out there.

Cannot add a new lightbulb
The feature to add a new lightbulb is not working. I enter my wifi password and the connect button turns white, so it appears to be clickable, but it actually is not functioning. Clicking it does nothing and there is not kind of response to demonstrate it has been clicked.

No auto notification & incorrect time
After upgrading iPhone to iOS26, the app no longer send notification for the door sensors when I open/close the doors. When I open the app, the time shown in the app is incorrect. All iPhone notifications settings were enabled.
Worst smart bulbs
Please, do not buy those bulbs. you will regret it and you will hate them.
When i bought them originally, 1 flickered and died out of the box. not a good start. material feels cheap and looks cheap. And even then they are more expensive than better brands like govee, wiz, meross or home depot hubspace.
Seriously, the cloud API is so slow it takes 10sec for all the bulbs in the kitchen to shut off. The local API (with the app) ain’t great either, but it feels as responsive as the average cloud based bulbs like hubspace or govee. The Ayla Networks cloud API might work okay for AC systems, but for bulbs, it simply does not. I might as well just shut off the bulbs manually if it is to wait 20sec.
I just removed every single Noma IQ bulb in my home and replaced them with Phillips Wiz, absolutely delighted.
