Everything about this app and the systems is absolute garbage. Don’t waste your time or money on this, it’s horrible.
App is the worst
Beware of this app and the cameras. Every time I open the app to view my cameras, they time out. 90% of the time it displays 0GB. Regardless of whether I’m on wifi or data. It’s pretty much useless having these cameras since you can’t ever view anything in real time on the app. And don’t get me started on the playback setting (never works). Disappointed in this app and the cameras. Wish I could return.

Playback next to impossible
Not user friendly, can’t playback. The only way to save video is to use your phone and record it from the DVR. Replacing soon!!

A camera app could not be worse. Don’t buy these cameras-they’re worthless. It’s impossible to look back at footage for a specific timeframe. And apparently the company doesn’t care bc they don’t try to make it better. I’m at the point where I’m going to change all my hardwired cameras out.

Terrible everything. Whole lot of login failed crap, cameras literally don’t work 80 percent of the time especially with the app. Pathetic system just use the Comcast ring doorbell way cheaper and get this it actually works. I see this company persons name is based in china makes a whole lotta sense as to why their app is complete dumpster fire probably going to switch as soon as I can when I find a proper system. Also can’t send pictures and videos out of the app just gives the option to delete when it’s pretty friggin obvious you want to be able to send out videos to police or detectives for review cause that’s literally what this app is for. Don’t buy this garbage please you’ll waste your time and money trust me I’m doing y’all a favor. If any alarm company says northern view just say no and see if they have other options if not don’t even entertain them you’ll regret it hard

Great Cameras Terrible App & System
As others have said, this app is basically useless. We have no instructions on system use and it’s cryptic. Cameras are reliable and provide an excellent monitoring experience. However, the system seems archaic, we can’t go back to find anything, the app often wouldn’t refresh to bring up current status when opened so I’d have to go in the system room to view cameras on a monitor, and now the app won’t bring up the cameras at all. It’s a very expensive system and like other have stated, it’s very limited because of the terrible app and DVR controls. We needed security in a hurry and recommended installer uses only these cameras. Wouldn’t go with this system again because it’s only good for viewing current activity in front of a monitor. If you’re away from home or can’t get to the monitor, forget it.

Decent app when setup correctly
Needs to improve just to be 1 ⭐️
Slowest interface ever, can’t export, and controls are way too difficult. $4k system is less useful than $80 Ring doorbells. NorthernView system has been a massive regret.
Cameras load slow
Cameras load really slow. Some wont load at all.
Do not purcahse
Northern View cameras and applications are a decade plus behind what you might expect. Very poor event detections, slow and buggy, and almost impossible to use.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA SYSTEM!!!! Beyond horrible. We had someone rob us and the cameras are beyond pain to get to operate correctly. Horrible system. Absolute JUNK!!! Playback never works. App makes your phone get extremely hot. Constantly freezes and crashes. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
Long loading times, no playback
Cameras take a good while to load sometimes. Also, I can’t not view the playback. What’s the point of the camera system if you can’t go back to see what happened.

Cameras take forever to load if at all. The app layout looks like something a kid made for a beginner computer programming class. I’m considering dumping this system and getting something that is more intuitive to use and responds faster.

Not worth downloading, your fully charged battery will be completely discharged in 15 min. App is very, very slow. Had trouble logging in because of slow app recognition.
