Absolute TRASH!!!
This has to be the worst app out right now. It is completely nonfunctional. It freezes, it crashes and it deletes your files. This app needs to be taken off the App Store. It doesn’t work. BEWARE… DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!
Notes have been deleted
As long as my notes from the past year or so remain deleted, this app will have a one star review from me. If it happens to get fixed, I might change it. But the support I’ve received from these guys have been very subpar and less than responsive.
Crashes
Keeps crashing when opening certain notes even with most recent update
Bad app, stick with Word.
Extremely frustrating, i lost my 2 years of work to a bug and it is impossible to do anything like drawing on it, such as disconnecting the apple pencil.
Requested feature
If used Notability for a few years and would love the ability to create tables with a table maker
Loss data
Multiple times the app has crashed and I lost all my data TEMPORARILY. Sometimes it takes days to weeks to restore. I cannot recommend for health professionals who use it for documentation.
Decent note taking app; some bugs
Over all I believe this is a good note taking app however there are some bugs. For example, sometimes when you try to use the eraser by squeezing your stylus, it won’t let you access the erasure at all and the only way to fix it is to close the app entirely and then re-open it which happens pretty often and is as specially annoying when it interrupts me while I’m trying to take notes during a lecture and then I’m not able to get everything down. Another thing is that there is a noticeable delay when writing compared to other apps, even when I’m using the Apple Pencil Pro. It’s still a good app with many helpful features but some of the bugs make it difficult to use sometimes.

Will delete all of your notes
Imagine you have an exam coming up and you wake up and all of your notes are GONE even though you have icloud syncing on. This app is actually ridiculous and I cannot believe that this is such a big issue and they still haven’t done anything to fix this. I have been using notability for 10 years now and I cannot believe this happened to me. Pretty much all of my old notes are gone and all of my new notes from last week have disappeared. I’ve chatted with customer service and they also haven’t been able to help me. After 10 years I will be switching to a different notes taking app this is so frustrating and disappointing.

Good app but there’s bugs
I really would like to use the app but I can’t. Every time I try to use my own templates the screen just freezes and I have updated the app and it still does this. Really frustrating
BLOATED AND BUGGY
Your app sucks, it deletes notes, and is so bloated that it has literally crashed on my macbook with 32 gigs of ram. It constantly stutters on my M4 macbook pro making the writing look like the zig zagged scribbles of a toddler. Your development process must be so cluttered and unorganized to come out with an app this unreliable. I wish it were reliable, but unfortunately you have cost me likely on the order of 40 hours worth of note taking. There are numerous names I would like to call you for the amount of embarrassment inconvenience and pain you and your dev team has caused me. I wish it weren’t so, because no other app has the specific user interface yours does, but alas. Goodbye forever.

Introduced 5 Note Limit
Was my notes app for years.
They introduced a 5 note limit for free tiers.
I use it as a very basic note app to write some text, not worth it for me to upgrade. Switching to a free alternative & deleting.

They’re trying to force “Notability Cloud” onto us now
I had to take time out of my busy day today to figure out how to opt out of a cloud migration that I never opted in to. The process for opting out is intentionally obtuse and at the end of it I am left uncertain of whether the migration has actually been cancelled, or if I’ve merely just disabled notifications about it. This is a shockingly hostile move by Notability. I’ve been a loyal user (even paying for a Plus subscription) for years now, but this has pushed me away. This company does not respect its users.

Forcing users to go to the subscription model
I bought this app back when full purchases were available, and now every time I go on the app it tells me to subscribe. If I didn’t ask for these notifications, then I don’t appreciate it especially since I have already made the purchase years ago. Notability should stop trying to forcefully get customers to pay more money to use their service. It’s a disgusting practice. Moreover, Notability has not given me an option to opt out of its cloud storage migration. If I am happy with iCloud then that’s the way it’s supposed to be. On reddit, in which moderators heavily censor users for actual complaints, Notability staff says it’s optional to opt out of Notability cloud, which is not true, and even if it is, then the option should be super easy to find. Do not get
Crashed constantly. Currently have been using it for 3 years in veterinary school and everyone knows it’s garbage and to stay clear. Please use Google Docs so you do not loose all of your data every 6 months due to their flawed back up system that will occasionally auto-delete your data. This has happened to me 3 times over the course of 3 years.

Hard for legacy users to use
This used to be my favorite notetaking app. But once they went to a monthly subscription model it seemed to go downhill quickly. I bought the app outright years ago and it was great. Now it will not sync across devices if I use Google Drive. They seem like they really want you to use iCloud services even though it says it’ll sync with Google Drive. Just is a real pain to use. The thing I used to love most about this app is the fact that it was just effortless. This is no longer the case.

Getting worse with each update
I’ve used this for years. Started amazing and just getting worse. I’ve ended my subscription for other solutions. Not sure why you remove features and can’t address common bugs

Notability is a great app but whenever you’re trying to write something,or tracing something it always messes up but overall this app is pretty good
bug for duplicate button
there’s a bug for the duplicate button. Instead of showing“duplicate”, it shows “Deprecated.IsMenuItemDuplicate”
