Great service
Reliable service. I have been able to get out and enjoy evenings in Newark as a disabled person. Its a prompt a service with lovely and helpful drivers. Easy to utilise too
Appalling service and a disgrace to the disabled
Do Not use this service!! Left me stranded in Hickling with no way to get back home. The on demand bus is the only bus service that runs there. I am wheelchair bound to my power chair and had my retired assistance dog with me. I booked it on Thursday 10th of April 2025; to be picked up on Friday the 11th of April 2025. Between 1:20pm and 1:45pm to get to my appointment in Hickling at 2pm. I got an alert an hour before saying that the bus would pick me up at 1:56pm in Ruddington. I rang Notts bus connect and they said that they had to cancel that journey to see if there was an earlier bus I could get. I asked him not to and to look first but he claimed that wasn't possible. He then found out there was no other bus at that time. So he booked me back on at that time. Only the bus didn't arrive till 2:10pm. Then it had to go to keyworth to pick someone else up. Upon doing that the driver was then told to take them to Widmerpool. All the while I was being made later and to get to my appointment. Which was at 2pm. But I didn't get there till 2:35pm and the person I was seeing wasn't too happy about me being so late. I don't blame them! Then as I was 35 minutes late to that appointment, it ran past the time I had booked the bus back at which was 3:50pm. Therefore I had to cancel it. I tried for hours on the phone with Notts bus on demand and adult social care. To find me a bus to get back home on. Only there wasn't one so they said there was nothing they could do and refused to pay for a taxi for me to get back home. Those that don't know Hicking is a small village in the middle of nowhere with no shops for miles around. I had to get a friend in London to help me get a taxi back home. As adult social care said call 111 and make it their issue to get me back home. We all know I wouldn't have been a priority and would have waited even longer to get back home. All the neighbours at Harles Acres were so lovely and gave both me and me dog water. As well as kept checking I was ok. Had it not been for that taxi home I would still be sat in my power chair at the end of Harles acres in Hicking. More than likely till 7:35am till 8:05am when the next bus out of there was. They had a duty of care but didn't give a toss about me!! I can't just walk places my chair has limited battery and to leave me in the middle of nowhere like that was awful. It comes under direct discrimination and discrimination arising from my disability. As well as is completely against my human rights. I will be taking Notts bus on demand and adult social cafe to court for what they did to me!!!
I wouldn't even them give them 1 star but have to to be able to write this review!!!

Timings are poor
What is the point in having timeslots i can book a week in advance just to send the bus 45 minutes early/late, not a service to rely on to commute
Good service but the app is dire!
The Nottsbus on demand service works pretty well. There is the odd hiccup but overall I am pleased with it. However the app is probably the worst I have ever used. The user interface is not intuitive, note to developers, there are standards for this kind of thing. Some things just don’t work at all. It never shows my home favourite as an option to set as destination. You often have to put the journey in multiple times before it lets you book. I could go on. Needless to say it’s a lot easier to just ring the phone number and book via person than to fight with the app.

Pick up in Rempstone
Pick up was at the bus shelter, on Main Street.
Driver was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Journey was very smooth and quick.
Definitely a good experience and would recommend to anyone.
Please make use of the service.
It’s so easy to plan or your even encouraged to phone and they book your journey for you.
If you have a bus pass. Then you don’t have to pay otherwise you can pay on-line or on your actual pick up.
Drop off was directly at the bus stop, where the No1 is situated directly in front of “Heat” restaurant.
I highly recommend, this service!!!!!

NottsBus knocks it out of the park
Those of us who live in villages not supported by public transport have been waiting for this for years.
THANK YOU for giving us the ability to get out and about.

Absolutely Brilliant!
I cannot recommend this service highly enough. I discovered it by accident when I took a train from Leicester to East Midlands Parkway. The drivers were amazing; friendly, helpful and professional. App is quick and easy to use and the fares are excellent value too. I would recommend that you advertise the service as no-one seems to know about it. It wasn’t on the East Midlands Airport website and the National Rail app wanted me to travel for over 6 hours via Exeter with 5 changes when I selected Leicester to East Midlands Airport (by bus!!!!). Only by asking a very helpful member of staff at the East Midlands train station did I discover it existed. When I enquired at Leicester train station they didn’t know about it either. If I lived locally I would use it all the time so I’m hoping it is still running when I next fly back to the U.K. Please spread the word and use it because we need to keep our public services and this is such an excellent initiative.

Excellent Initiative
An excellent idea for an area where there’s lots of employers of the local communities who operate in public transport blackholes and whose staff mostly do not drive. Makes getting home from work a breeze and secures employment. All I can say is I hope the operation hours are eventually extended (a lot of low income shift work starts before and after 7am and 7pm respectively).
