I was looking forward to trying this.
And then you decided to blackmail me by saying "we'll let you see our app if you give us your email" Way to go guys, very progressive approach. Bye

Yikes! I'm so sorry. We honestly never considered that to be a barrier ... The app used to be far more useable without an account and you're absolutely right, while we're transitioning to the updated experience we're building at the moment, "email" has slipped in as a required field. Silly really - the whole app is completely free of ads, trackers, cookies and all of that horrible nonsense. I had just not noticed this requirement had crept into the onboarding flow. The new Nourish platform that's rolling out at the moment is a very personalised news experience ... so account setup is required really just for technical reasons. We're a very small team and, while I can probably conceive of ways around that restriction, we simply don't have the resources right now. So yes, I'm sorry. I take your point. Perhaps I can suggest for now you simply use "nothanks@nourished.news" ... which is a valid email and will let you sign in without giving up your real email address ... ... and when you're done, if you don't like the app, there is a "Delete Account" button in settings which removes you and your history completely (we don't make money from your data so we've had a super-easy delete function from literally week two of development). Great idea, doesn’t work

I’m a big sports guys. I like to read and keep up to date with my favourite sports teams. Life can’t always be about politics and climate change right? I told the app 3 of my 7 favourite teams and the personalisation tool had no idea what to do with that information. If I searched for a specific NFL team with the search tool, it gave me headlines from 12+ days ago. The latest results for a Premier League club were scores from a match that happened 2 months ago.

I don’t know what kind of AI is being used to find these stories but it’s not great. 1 star from me I’m afraid.

App doesn’t work

Content on each article does not load properly. Tried deleting this app and re-downloading still to no avail. A shame because this would’ve been an extremely helpful news app if it did work.

Massive improvement

OneSub has improved massively in the past week — the new format makes it so quick and easy to get a balanced summary of world news so that I can get on with the rest of my day. Amazing work!

Love the new app

I’ve been using OneSub for well over a year since one of the early beta versions.

For someone who likes to keep on top of the news and sometimes get a summary, and occasionally dive deeper in to a story this is the app for you. It’s great to be able to get views from all of the sources (and see who the sources are) so you can make more of an informed decision.

A very pleasant accident finding this app

I came across this app completely by accident while scrolling through my social media contacts. Looking at the mission of Fixing the News, I had to see what it was really about. Admittedly I’ve only used this for 15 minutes and there are some things I would probably improve from a users perspective, but all in all I feel I’ve gotten a healthy dose of local, varied and global news that is transparent about sources; the amount of time the story has been live; and the general slant and tone of the journalism. I’m very impressed and can definitely see myself using this.

Great news app

I think this is such a great idea and especially important in these very polarised times to read a balanced news diet. I like the range of publications and opinions from titles across the globe and the ease and speed of being able to catch up quickly on what's going on. Keen to see this app develop.
