Timely response and problem solution from Novli team

My previous issue has been resolved and I am satisfied with timely problem solving from Novli team. The founder was very helpful in making things right. I really appreciate the support and the extra month they provided. So, I have changed my rating accordingly. So, hopefully, this would help clear my old review.

Device access

I subscribed premium membership in my iPhone and I am planning to study with my iPad. When I log in using the same Gmail, it shows free member in my iPad. How do I study just with my small screen iPhone? I sent email to founders that said “we read every email”, yet, I didn’t get any reply. So, when I try to get refund, mine got rejected. This all just happened within 1 day of my subscription. And this is not my first time subscription. If you don’t give me premium membership access to my iPad, give my refund back. It’s such a waste of time reaching out to you and not getting any response back for such access issue. I feel so dissatisfied and disappointed when such issue happened and there’s no timely solution from the app side.

Very helpful with room for improvements

I’ve been using this app for a while to read Chinese literature and learn new vocabulary. I also bought the premium version because I think 4€ a month is still okay. However I wish that you could scan more than one page at once since I wanna have the whole article/ story in one scan. I think you also can’t merge two scans together? If I scan a double page at once, ai sometimes makes mistakes with the translation as it can’t see all words clearly. It would also be great if you can move already scanned texts into new folders to organise your learning material better. In the future I hope there will be better mistake analysis for the AI translation and maybe a few more functions. For example correction for your own written texts. Shorts videos or podcasts to improve listening skills or even Chatrooms. For now the app is already not bad…很不错～

惜しい

課金して使うにはAIの精度が低すぎて使い物にならないし、高すぎる。回答に1分とか遅すぎて待てないし、質問履歴(やり取り)は保存されないの深掘りしても残らないのは残念。
課金して使うには半額にしてAIの質を上げて、音声プレイにブクマつけて、再生速度つけてくれるとかじゃないと他のアプリから移る理由なくて課金したくないと思いました。でも魅力的なアプリなのでお試し試してみようかな

진짜 도움 된다 시간 아끼고

원래 중국어 그거 뭐 교과서나 그거 HSK 이거 그거 책 에 본문 읽을때마다 아니면 지문 읽을때마다 그거 맨날 모르는 단어 있으면 읽는 거 멈추고 맨날 단어 하나하나 찾아 봤어 했는데 너무 쭉쭉 이제 쭉쭉 읽으면서 계속 찾아 볼 수 있고 단어도 찾을 수 있고 바로 번역이 나와 있으니까 병음도 나와 있고 그래서 읽으면서 이해를 하니깐 너무 좋아요. 시간도 아끼고. 공부 앱 중에서 젤 돈이 안아깝습니다

Absolutely recommend!

Can highly recommend. App is extremely well polished, feature rich and helped me increase my chinese a lot within just days! Subscription is not cheap, but developer also needs to pay their bills :)

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I understand it's annoying the app is paid. Every time someone scans, uses translation etc, it costs me money, so I made it a paid app to ensure I can cover my costs. I am not a big company, it's just me and my girlfriend running Novli from our personal savings, so we need to make it paid at this early stage unfortunately. In the future, I would love to make more features free though. The best app in my opinion

So this year I started HSK 3 meaning my books stopped having pinyin and I was trying to find a good app to solve this problem without me having to flip pages while studying. That’s when I found out about Novli and honestly is the best thing because not only does it have pinyin but also direct translation, audios, flashcards for words and it explains words u don’t understand. Couldn’t be happier 😌
