What's New in Now Showing

4.0.2

July 23, 2026

• Fixed the Metropolis 1920 marquee font rendering. • Fixed joining a detected Roomie Remote Home. Recent in 4.0: • Digital Rain Frame Style — A new Matrix-style animated frame for the top and bottom bars: falling green code rains behind your marquee text, with five modes — Steady, Drizzle, Downpour, Glitch, and Surge — that follow your chosen Frame color. • Timers & Sequences — A new unified Library replaces the old saved-configs menu, organizing everything into Scenes, Timers, and Playlists in a single panel. • Scenes — Saved Now Showing configurations now live in an iCloud-synced library. Save, rename, export, import, and switch between them from a document-style title menu. • Timers — Create countdown timers with preset or custom durations. A glass countdown pill appears over a dimmed poster, can override the top/bottom bar text while running, and fires a command to your media device when it starts and completes. • Playlists — Schedule Scenes and Timers to run automatically with Default, One-Time, Recurring, and On-Demand triggers, with priority resolution when more than one applies. • Send to Network Displays — Push Timers and Playlists to other Now Showing displays on your network. Saved targets that are currently offline now appear (dimmed) in the picker so Send and Copy actions always have a visible referent. • Timer Start-Time Mode — Set a timer to fire at a specific clock time instead of a countdown, with optional poster dimming and a more compact countdown pill. • tvOS Poster Layout — Choose the poster layout directly on tvOS. • Elapsed-Time Progress — Players that report only elapsed time (e.g. Oppo UB-820) now show progress; the play icon is reserved for sources with no playback feedback at all. • Duplicate Scene — Fork the current scene into a new, editable copy in one step, from the title menu or the Scenes panel, so you can build a variation without changing the original. • Reliability fixes across launch, display refresh after Open / Revert, macOS screen binding and fullscreen, library cache when switching display type, and tvOS image-load timing. Recent in 3.5: • Live Posters Cycling — Idle and active poster rotation can draw from Live Posters, our full library of video posters, shuffled for variety. • Kaleidescape Library Cycling — Point Now Showing at your Kaleidescape system and cycle through your actual movie library as posters, using the system's high-resolution covers. • Plex Library Cycling — Connects via your Roomie-configured Plex account, discovers your server, and cycles through your movie library's posters. • 4-Up Poster Wall — Layout option for Kaleidescape and Plex library cycling that displays four covers at once, refreshing on a stagger. Recent in 3.4: • Curated Poster Collections — Idle poster cycling draws from hand-picked movie collections for consistently high-quality, family-appropriate artwork. • Multi-Display Poster Sync — When Sync Displays is enabled, curated poster cycling is coordinated across all your displays with staggered offsets so each screen shows different content.

Love it!

This is a must for anyone with a dedicated home theater! It take your space to the next level

Nothing like it

If you have a dedicated home theater this is an amazing addition, I have a portrait mounted 55” TV in the hallway right outside the home theater and this will display what is currently playing inside the room and when your not watching content it will display upcoming movies, very nostalgic, reminds me of the days of going to the movies and it feeds that itch for movies in the future, it’s a must have if you have a dedicated room

Great for parties love user interface

Amazing

Great product and easy to use. Only digital movie poster I’m aware of that directly integrates with Apple TV and various media players. Developer listens to feedback and iterates quickly. Well worth the subscription fee.
