NowPlaying: Music Discovery

NowPlaying is ready for iOS 27. We worked hard this summer to bring you the best new experience. We are introducing a few new features focused on Apple Intelligence, plus a lot of new content. ● Ready for Siri AI • Start SongDisplay using Siri ("What song is this?") • On-screen awareness, so Siri will always know what you’re talking about • Save songs to favorites using Siri ("I like this song.") • Play audio on specific devices using Siri ("Play Album of the day in the living room.") • Add songs to library using Siri ("Add this song to my library.") ● Other New features • We now show small insights during SongDisplay on larger displays • Discover the song's Key and BPM and play along!* • A richer Discover experience with music news, reviews, new albums, and artists you’ve seen live. • Send artists to Gigs and automatically add saved artists to your Want to See list. • New Larger Album of the Day widgets with more of the story behind each pick. • You can now let SongDisplay show the artist instead of the album artwork • Open albums and artists in Daft Music. • Start listening to an artist’s top songs in Apple Music with a single tap. • Added two new achievements for you to unlock* • A countdown to upcoming releases, so you never miss what’s next. • You can now pick your favorite four albums of all time on your profile ● Improved • Smarter search for songs, lyrics, and artist popularity. • A refreshed SongDisplay with immersive new background visuals. • More flexible album recognition in Visual Intelligence. • A smoother, more reliable SongDisplay experience when tracks change or you return from another app. • Better Apple Music connectivity for Album of the Day actions. • Polished layouts across SongDisplay and song details, including landscape on iPhone. • More reliable Control Center updates and SongDisplay interactions. *Requires iOS 27 or later New in 2027.4: • You can now select Qobuz as your preferred streaming service to open albums, songs, and artists in Qobuz • Share an artist, album, or song link from any platform by long-pressing the share button • Fixed a bug that made the app a black screen for some. • Bug and crash fixes
