User reviews

Going astray?

Updated review:
Nyblit is still my daily to do app, but lately I’ve been feeling like it’s going off course. It’s no longer the simple, focused task manager that originally grabbed my attention. Feature bloat is a real danger, and Gmail integration, collaboration tools, reMarkable tablet support, chips, etc, etc, all just increase the distraction that keeps me frozen and unproductive. I recognize that these are features that others might find useful, but as I said in my original review, I’m starting to spend more time fretting about how to use the tool than getting the work done, so maybe Nyblit is just no longer right for me…

Original review:
I struggle with classical task managers. They’re either too over engineered or too restrictive. I spend more time fretting about how to use the tool than getting the work done, and end up feeling stuck. Nyblit strongly appeals to my slightly scattered, constantly evolving organization. Very strong start!

Response from developer

Haha, I feel seen! You have perfectly described why I built this. My brain also loves to jump from 'Critical Task A' to 'Reading about The Who’s abandoned Lifehouse project from 1970.' I needed a tool that didn't collapse under its own weight (like that rock opera did), so I made Nyblit to handle the chaos. Thank you for the fantastic review. It means a lot!

Nice

Nyblit is a smart task manager for people who want more control over their workload. I like how it separates tasks into states like Today, Blocked, Later, and Done instead of keeping everything in one stressful list. Custom workflows, shared projects, calendar integration, and progress tracking make it useful for both personal tasks and bigger projects. 📝📱

Thank you for your kind words. Glad you find it helpful :)

Intuitive and functional, but needs notification fixes

Well thought out with a truly minimalist design. The Progressive States feature is definitely the USP of this app and makes tracking tasks feel much more intuitive.
I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because notifications are currently not working, which is a core need for a productivity tool. Additionally, a great "nice-to-have" would be the ability to customize the icons for each state to allow for better personalization.
Once the notification bug is squashed, this is easily a 5-star app!

Response from developer

Hi and thanks for the review. Notifications are working. We have not had any other reports of this issue. I have personally checked on all our notifications and they are working perfectly. This may be related to the notification settings on your device. If you could please reach out via the app with details about the exact issue you’re having we’d be happy to provide some support. Many thanks!

A refreshing take on task managers

In my work, tasks are never binary. As a PM, my list is usually a collection of items stuck in discovery, development, waiting for QA, or blocked by waiting for feedback or approval. Traditional apps treat these as 'Not Done,' which creates massive cognitive load and obscures what I can work on today or right now.

Nyblit is the first tool that actually mirrors a real-world workflow. The ability to move a task to a 'Blocked' state—where it's hidden from my immediate 'In Progress' view but still tracked—is a game changer. I can set custom statuses like ‘Approval Pending' or 'UAT' that automatically categorizes the task's state. It also syncs across all of my devices—perfect when an idea strikes and I’m not in front of my laptop. If you're tired of 'Not Done' lists that don't reflect the reality of your work, you need this app.
