This App is Special
I like that there’s no editing once you hit “publish”, because that means every single drawing is the original one, straight from one person’s view of the clouds.
You name your drawing before publishing, and those names add to the interest because they further personalize each drawing.
I also like that when you look at someone’s drawing, you first see just the clouds, and then you watch how the whole thing is drawn in a few seconds.
And another genius feature is that on days you don’t draw, you can’t see anyone else’s drawings. Once midnight comes, the day is locked. I can’t draw, and therefore I can’t view any drawings, because you have to publish your drawing before you can see anyone else’s.
This feature sort of cements the community aspect of the app. When we participate (draw), then we are part of the community that day. Kinda cool.

Wow, reading this truly made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an incredibly thoughtful review. As a solo developer, you perfectly captured the entire heart and soul of Nyola.
So glad I found this app!!
I love how you can’t see what others drew until you finish your drawing! It really ensures that there are no copy-cats, and that you’re using your own imagination. It definitely pushes me to use my brain for once.
It is definitely buggy, like sometimes when you’re on your profile the cloud images don’t load and you can’t see anything but the sketches.
I also noticed that one of the cloud images was AI generated which is always sucky to see, but oh well.
Definitely gonna keep using this app!!

Thank you so much for this amazing review! We're thrilled that Nyola has become a part of your daily routine. Regarding the cloud images, they are actually submitted by our community! We do our best to filter out AI-generated images, but it's sometimes a tricky balance: many users submit real photos that are just heavily edited or color-retouched, and we don't want to unfairly exclude their beautiful submissions. As for the profile bug you mentioned (where the cloud images don't load behind the sketches), we definitely want to squash that! Could you please send a quick screenshot or screen recording to contact@nyola.app? It would help us immensely to track down the issue and fix it.
Very cute!
Good idea with room to grow

Hi! Thank you for the encouraging words and the feedback, it means a lot to a solo developer! Capturing your own clouds in the sky to draw on them is a beautiful and poetic idea. It's definitely something I'm keeping in mind as the app evolves! Regarding saving without an account, Nyola is designed to be a global, collaborative gallery rather than a private sketchpad. The account is the "ticket" to join this community, ensuring everyone contributes to the shared sky. However, I completely understand the desire to easily export your art, and I will look into making the export process smoother for our community members in future updates. Thanks again for taking the time to help me improve Nyola!
I’m glad I found this
I like the search feature cause it makes it easy if you want to see all the drawings with a certain word in the title. I also like that you can submit your own cloud photo, and I’m curious about how the daily photo gets selected.
The only negative thing I’m finding is that sometimes the buttons are hard to press. For example, I had to tap on and around the search bar a few times to select it, but that doesn’t affect the main experience, and it won’t deter me from using the app.
I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this so shortly after its release, and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow. I can’t imagine the concept getting old, and I’ll definitely be on nyola every day.

Hi! Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It brings me immense joy to read that you instantly connected with the core philosophy of Nyola! To answer your curiosity, the daily clouds are currently hand-picked by myself from the community's submissions. I try to select shapes that are inspiring and leave a lot of room for everyone's imagination to run wild and I try to show diversity in the propositions. Welcome to the Nyola sky, I can't wait to see your daily creations!
