Be more critical on results & less fear-based
Originally loved the app but seems like things have moved into clout-chasing impressions & gatekeeping behind subscriptions and paywalls. Will move onto another app.

any app you see that is health related and helps you get better habits is always an expensive subscription. it makes me not care about my health seeing the paywall and it is getting ridiculous how EVERY app has it. No im not paying for a subscription for an app that im gonna use for less than a month.

Updated their app
Used to be able to see the ratings of most of their products, for others you would need to pay. Since their update, you can’t view the ratings of ANY products without a $50 payment.
Once a helpful app is just bizarre
I didn’t know sunflower oil is worse then lead, yet products with lead get higher rating then a product without lead. Huh?!
Membership
It don’t even let me un subscribe! There’s no option for it!
Suspicious / Unreliable reviews
The tests for water for example goes from an awful grade to a good grade depending on how the app feels on that day. Hard to rely on this app when 80% of the products they supposedly reviewed are bouncing back and forth on results.

Oasis used to be free for everyone to use. You could scam barcodes or even take a picture of products to get a breakdown of the rating for free. Now all of a sudden, I have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription just to scan a product. Very disappointing that all these apps start with letting the user use it for free, then they ask for a subscription. We shouldn’t have to pay to know what’s good for us and what isn’t

Good idea but disappointing implementation
I paid for a year and for months almost every product I tried to scan appears to be in review. At the end of the day I could not what I paid for because of that. Even now I can’t scan anything cause it’s not been reviewed. Useless outside of the US.

Was free but they got greedy for money. Now have to pay to use the app at all.
Limited product data- no user friendly
Scanning doesn’t work doesn’t seem like they have much data on products maybe they are still getting more product info.
Also searching under categories is difficult and again a lot of basic products aren’t available
I was really disappointed I paid for the year but will have it cancelled if they don’t improve the user interface, ability to scan products and have a MUCH larger inventory for the categories

Rip off paid for a year got only a month or so
I don’t understand the point of paying for the whole year when they don’t give you a full year. Not enough to make it difficult to try to get in touch with Customer Service and sort things out so they don’t care once they scam you
The new version of Oasis is disappointing.
I like Oasis and its mission, but this new version is a real regression. A list where everything looks identical forces you to open every single item just to learn whether it matters. That’s not transparency. The fix is simple: bring back the visual signal at the list level. Color-code or badge each ingredient right in the list. Green for fine, amber for caution, red for avoid, so you can scan the whole thing in two seconds. Click-through stays for the detail, but the summary should be visible without it.

Frequent Inaccurate information
I’ve personally reported numerous issues via the in app reporting feature, direct to Oasis via Email, X and Instagram and the support has been poor at best. When issues are eventually resolved, when the next update comes out, the issues reoccur. I’ve repeatedly asked for a call with the Oasis team to discuss the issues, and this request has fallen on deaf ears. The app simply can’t be trusted when issues are so frequent. Great concept, but the execution couldn’t have been much worse.

This app is quirky and does not work very well. I regret paying the money for a year subscription.
Update is horrible
Horrible update ! 5 months ago the app was better and user friendly, now the way things are scored aren’t explained well at all . The app took a huge step backwards! So disappointed . Will not be renewing.
