This is just wrong
Update: I was contacted by the developer asking me to contact them and possibly reconsider my review. As I am always keen to hear the other side I did, explaining my side and asking for their side.
This is what I wrote:
“Hi,
I had downloaded this app when it was on the list of AppsGoneFree. The “free” bit didn’t work for me.
So I wrote a review, and have then been asked to give it another try.
On principle I’m happy to do that but cannot see how this would work - the AppsGoneFree day has passed and the idea was that it works on that day, not because the developer intercedes.
However, I am open to hear your side.

This is the reply I received:
“Hey, if you had read attentively the appstore page description and onboarding message you would have noticed that there is a paid upgrade.
With the free app, you can enjoy the entire features, share messages with the font and many people are VERY happy with the free part.
If you’re valuing the product you might appreciate that we didn’t put ads or spam like many free apps do. If you value quality then maybe you will understand that any work deserves a contribution.
Have a lovely day!”
Now I may be a bit old school but I found the reply I received rather rude - very passive-aggressive.
I am very happy to pay for a quality app as I work in IT and appreciate the effort that goes into some of these apps.
However, I have a real thing about what I consider to be unfair. So let’s leave it at that and move on.
Update: Email with Redeem code - that would give me 6mts free, then $129.99 per year, and would appreciate if I could update my review.
I tried it, it does the removing very well, so no issue there.
However, as I said, was supposed to be free, is not, so . . .
moving on.
