Terrible
Although I already had a prepaid subscription, this “newspaper” added another one and charged me monthly through Apple and PayPal. They will not admit the account even exists and are continuing to deny it even after I submitted evidence. It took me hours of going back and forth from Apple, PayPal, emails, etc and days of waiting for replies. Apple finally made it good but the “newspaper” still won’t admit fault.

I read the Star-Banner everyday at home, on vacation and at the beach. I don’t have to cancel delivery when I am away or go outside to pick up the paper in the driveway. Love having the USA Today world news along with the local news, entertainment lists and opinion pages.

Shameful
Super unhappy with Saturday’ paper. Unable to read any article on my iPhone 10. Would cancel my subscription if I did not need obits and other local information as a retired but still active pastor. Feel cheated with this approach.

The app works, leftist content is the problem
The app works great, easy to scroll through the pages, enlarge print etc., but be prepared for the leftist slant to everything. Of course that’s true for most media.

Dissatisfied
I am completely dissatisfied with the digital version on Saturday and I find it difficult to use and I can’t get the whole story. Also the price increases are too much. At the current price which gets increased every few months over 10 years I will be paying over $7000 for the paper. Other than the obituaries and a few local stories I would discontinue getting the paper after 50 years and will probably do so shortly.

Have to admit I enjoy the portability of the iPhone app, but often miss the smell and feel of the print version. The app isn’t perfect…daily I run into the issue where the pages won’t advance using the arrows. I’m forced to drag the page to advance or reverse. I enjoy my comics, which I read horizontally. I expand the comic to fill the screen, but it doesn’t stay centered… it’ll jump to the left, forcing me to hold it where I want it till I finish the first frame. Small things, but irritating nonetheless.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the digital ‘paper’.

Good for local news
The Star Banner really shines in its chronicling of local news and events. The Op-Ed pages are slanted well to the left but opposing views are allowed access. Local and Florida state Sports are well covered.
