5 stars for the sounds, 2 stars for the app
The sounds are amazing. However, the App is a bit clunky. It will sometimes stop playing in the background. And I just recently discovered that it will not easily work in offline mode even though I have several sounds downloaded. It kept crashing when I tried to play one of my downloaded sounds. Not great when you’re in an airplane.
While I don’t regret subscribing for one year, I don’t think I will renew for a second year. It’s been several months since new sounds were added (well, some white noise static sounds were added but those aren’t why I signed up). But the soundscapes that do exist are lovely. I think if I could pay a flat fee for unlimited access to my favorites AND choose my own player — kind of like buying a song on iTunes —I would do that.

Love this app but…
I love this app but it does not work on Mac Sequoia 15.5. It crashes.
Seems to require notifications
Every time I try to play something it pops up a message saying I can’t turn notifications on, then stops what I am listening to. II rarely turn notifications on for any app and certainly not one for sound.This is on iPhone 14.
Paywalled
All but three soundscapes are paywalled behind subscription. There are a total of 111 soundscapes on this app. I tried the 3 day free trial because I liked the free ones and they have some interesting looking ones, but I was charged immediately. After going through the rest of the soundscapes, they are nice, but for the price, I’d sooner find free ambient sounds on Spotify. And yes I pay for a Spotify subscription but get a lot more for the same price.

No internet Connection
This review is more for the app than the soundscapes. The No internet Connection pops up all the time. I do have internet connection. Vast majority of the time I can’t stream any sound without the message. So downloading is the only option. Also downloads fail all the time. And sometimes even when attempting to play downloaded soundscapes it will still pop the message which stops the sound and dumps you back into the app. There’s also been numerous times I set the sound and the timer and go to bed. 3 minutes later for no reason it stops playing. This could happen 3 times in 15 minutes. Then I gotta get up go to my phone and start it up again. All that being said these soundscapes are remarkable. I’ve been startled numerous times while working thinking there’s a bird or an animal somewhere in my vicinity. I’d also request that there be volume control. The ability to play a soundscape while listing to a podcast is amazing. But sometimes the podcast is to loud and there’s no way to adjust one or the other. Love the app and hope there’s an update in the near future. Thanks! I am a subscriber and I’ll give it the year. I really want to like the app. But it’s got some rough edges.

Apple TV issues
The “Balance” and “Universe” settings cannot be adjusted on my Apple TV. I’m using tvOS 18.3.1. Please help.
Errors, can’t access the audio after subbing:
I just keep getting “no internet connection” errors and the music stops.
Internet is just fine. I’ve tried multiple places, and run speed tests. The “internet” connection is just fine for everything else.

AirPlay not working
When I choose AirPlay for my tv it finest play as if it’s buffering.

I’ll preface this review with the reason I’m here, it needs an update. The ability to play the soundscapes with the app minimized is broken.
I use this app almost all day everyday. The subscription price is worth it for me to have better quality soundscapes than one can find on YouTube and there’s no ads. A full download option would be really nice. I would pay a fair price to be able to save my favorite ones.
I’m hoping whatever tech issues have come up can be resolved soon so I can use this app again!

Suggestion
This is a great app that would greatly benefit from sound previews for all tracks and the ability to purchase individual soundscapes. Maybe 2.99-4.99 per track. Letting users pay for and keep forever what they want. Also a lifetime membership option that is *reasonably* priced. A lot of people are tired of the subscription model. Eventually they’ll get tired of that extra expense and the product is long forgotten. Allowing ppl actual ownership keeps them coming back years to come because they don’t feel like they’re being taken advantage of.

Fantastic Soundscape App
Absolutely love this app!! The soundscapes are amazing!! I love that it’s not just nature and real life sounds but also incorporates fantasy world soundscapes as well! The only request I have for future updates is the ability to create a play list.

The sounds are terrific in this app, would prefer a lifetime subscription option because I hate subscriptions. That’s up to the developer and how they need to monetize this app to make money.
With that said, the absolutely needs a now playing button and for tracks to automatically start once clicked. I don’t like having to press play after clicking a track. And without the now playing, if I leave a track to browse others the sound just abruptly stops.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. $8+/month or $55+/ year. Apple really should include this info on the download page so those of us who are cost conscious can just not waste our time.
You get 3 free audio samples. Just 3, and none are very interesting imo. I’m actually ok with paying for individual audio environments, but there’s no option to pay for them separately. Nor is there any kind of one time purchase option.

Nice sounds. But overall too busy
There are some good sound bases here. But of the couple dozen I checked out, there was some distracting element that wrecked it. Too many birds. So many I halfway expected to hear them in the space scene.

Most sounds don’t work
So many of the sounds don’t work.
The only thunderstorm one especially doesn’t work. Lots of lag and delay for others. Great when it does work but horrible and frustrating when it doesn’t especially when paying a monthly fee !

Some sounds don't work
I haven't been able to get green sound to work for months. I use it for my autistic meltdowns and overloads, and no other app works better than Odysound. I'm super disappointed. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, I have full signal, and I've tried reaching out to support, and haven't gotten responses. Three sounds because some sounds still work and the app is nice. Would get 5 if all the sounds worked without issues.
