What's New in OffBookly

1.1.3

August 13, 2026

Rehearsal listens better. This release rebuilds how the app follows you while you speak. If you have ever said a line correctly and watched it come back red, that was us, not you. WHEN YOU REHEARSE - Smarter line tracking. A line that repeats a phrase no longer ends early: saying "very fortunate" the first time will not skip the rest of the line. - Filler passes. Lines that are only "Um" or "Uh" now advance on any sound. No more saying "skip line" for every filler. - Natural delivery. Slow repeats, restarts and half-finished lines are read as one turn, so the app waits for you to land instead of judging your first attempt. - Long-press any line to compare what you said against the script. - If a scene stalls, it rescues itself instead of sitting there. - Previous, pause and next controls while you rehearse. - Fixed a blank screen when editing a line from the voice-only view. BEAT WORK AND SHAKESPEARE - Notes stopped losing your transcript between rounds. Whole rounds you had actually said were coming back red. - Saying half a sentence no longer marks the whole sentence missed. - Verse stays verse. Line breaks are kept in Beat Work and Read & Mark, with a Verse/Prose toggle. - Early Modern English is understood properly now: elisions, accented endings, archaic spellings. - The Beat Work layout no longer jumps when a word is revealed. SCENE PARTNER - The hub is organised by what each scene is waiting on: Your Turn, Ready To Rehearse, Waiting On Them. - Scenes waiting on you are marked on the home screen. A scene that needed your recording used to say it was ready. - Recording shows the whole scene in order, so you can see where your lines sit. ALSO - Fixed a crash that hit roughly one in nine of you, caused by the app fetching its typefaces over the network at launch. - A short in-app guide, including one thing most people never discover: the app runs on CarPlay. Two of the fixes at the top of this list came from actors who wrote in. Keep the reports coming — I read every message.

User reviews

Good

Been using other reader/line-memorization apps, this is only one that supports a 120-page script. Also Monologue is surprisingly kinda fun. Good UI.

THE BEST APP FOR ACTORS!!!

I still remember those late nights where I was completely losing my mind trying to memorize lines, or those awkward audition moments when I thought I knew everything perfectly… and then immediately started stumbling once the scene began. Ever since I started using this app, that honestly hasn’t happened anymore.

By going through the set repetition process, I genuinely feel like the lines become part of me instead of something I’m desperately trying to remember. And the built-in reader is honestly more natural than a lot of real readers I’ve worked with, which lets me focus completely on the acting itself instead of worrying about cues or memorization.

I genuinely think I’ll keep using this app for a long time, and I’d recommend it to way more working actors. It’s truly worth it.
