Keeps getting better
This app is awesome. It needs all of my old time. Radio needs. I have used this app for years now and overtime. It has gotten better as a visually impaired user it used to be very inaccessible, but now that problem has been fixed. I have no problems with voiceover anymore using this app the only thing that I would suggest like many others have suggested in the past is that there are lots of shows that could be added other than that I think it is great and I think the features you have added overtime are wonderful. Keep up the good work and thank you for listening to our feedback.

Try it! The recent changes make OTR “best in show”
I’ve been a subscriber to this app for a long time. The Old Time Radio app languished (technically) for a long time and old reviews are bringing down the current rating in 2026.
What has changed in the last six months makes this a whole new app. The Developer has fixed most, if not all, of the technical issues folks complained about in the past and has added a whole new interface design.
This is now the collection that, I believe, offers the largest selection of shows matched by the best functionality necessary to access and enjoy them.
It really is a wonderful way to explore the history of radio.

Great selection and audio quality
Probably the best old-time radio app available.
Very good app, but..
There are a lot of great radio shows on the app, although I wish some of the harder to find Canadian shows were on here as well. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for one main reason—I’ve noticed quite a few of the episode descriptions are way off the mark of what the episode is about. While not a big deal, when I want to find particular ones that I’m a fan of and want to listen to again, it’s a bit annoying that the descriptions are off. Fortunately, episodes can be downloaded.
Other than that, one of the better OTR apps in the market.

Old Time Radio Shows
Outstanding in many ways which other sites ignore!
The shows are clean, adjusted for uniform volume; they load perfectly and instantly.
I even suggested a series which they looked at and obtained!
The ONLY improvement would be buying more episodes and seasons of programs from second, third etc. seasons!

Finally. A worthy update.
It was a long time coming but the major program update is very nice. A lot of feature requests were addressed. I am not sure if there is more content as well but the feature set is worth it. Thank you. There is still a lot of content that could be added. Get that up to date and a solid five stars. Also night mode

Sports
I would love to see a sport section on the app.. That way we can listen to past sporting events.

No shows & no service
I just paid this morning for the entire year and I now lost everything on the app. It won’t play anything, it won’t download anything and it’s not working at all.

Not the most accessible using Voiceover screen reader
I am blind, and use Voiceover screen reader, and unfortunately, your app does not have properly labeled buttons. The only one that I can tell is labeled is the play/pause button. Other than that, Voiceover just says, "button" and I have to press each one to find out what it does. The one next to the Play button, if I recall, is the one to restart the show, ... that's not the best place for that button. Also, your progress bar is not accurate, I can't scroll to a part in the episode, it is all wrong in the percentage it shows me. ... so while the selection of shows looks promising, the interface could use a lot of work to make it more accessible/user-friendly to all who wish to hear OTR in a modern way.

I’ve been using this app for several years now and I am 100% satisfied. It works perfectly on my iPhone. And the latest update to the app was phenomenal.

Let's Go Back In Time
This is a good app if you like OTR. The only issue I have with the app is there should be a lifetime membership so I don't have to pay every year.
Like the other review says there are plenty of other free ways to listen to these shows. You should take care of your fan base or it might soon be gone.

Why this app only gets a single star
First of all, I rated this app 5 stars a long time ago. It has changed to 1 star because of the app asking for money to listen to this stuff. Why is this happening? There are plenty of shows but to pay to play this stuff? I’m sorry but the app is 1 star now.
Customer service
I have subscribed for several years. I renewed using version 1.9 and now the app only works on the device I used to pay for the renewal. It now wants me to pay for a separate subscription for each device. Customer support is unresponsive and of no help.

GREAT collection, very reasonable price, the fifth star will come with that “marked as played” feature. Well done!

If you will not do the appropriate updates need then sell the app to someone who will. A beautiful interface but it lacks in so much basic functionality that it’s a major pain. I will not repeat what others have said. Their Facebook page is full of unfulfilled promises and loaded with complaints. Many of us keep it only because of the volume and variety. If someone would make something with everything here no one would subscribe to this
