Awful simulator app

How will I ever get a patient to start Omnipod 5 when they can’t even get hands on experience? The bolus button falls off at the bottom of the screen and shows barely a sliver of purple. They can’t even type in the amount of carbs they eat. Bring back the old app. It worked perfectly. This new app does not build confidence in the patients who are eager to try an insulin pump but want to know that they can handle the technology part. And it does not build confidence in your brand. If the app doesn’t work for me, they will never trust the technology of the actual OP5 pump.

Can’t review Omnipod5

I’ve got an Omnipod 5 and having to carry another controller around is a real pain. Insulet please release Omnipod 5 app for Australia. Thanks.

Needs Font Settings

I have poor sight, so my iPhone font size is almost at the maximum level.

The app uses this font setting, so I was unable to use the app, many of the buttons were obscured (“Confirm” on carb intake being an example, I could only see “Cancel”).

I’m just happy that I will be getting a separate device and it’s not the app that’s used as-standard.

An internal font override would be a huge bonus, absolutely necessary for me, if the app ever becomes mainstream in the UK 😊👍🏻.

Broken simulator

2026- This simulator simply doesn’t work on a new iPhone. As a diabetes educator I’d love a functional tool to show the patients what the app is like. Also if I’m walking a patient through a change of settings over zoom or a phone call I need to know what menus have the settings we are looking for.

When

This is great, but when will it become available to actually use on iPhone in uk?

When will real app be available??

I really would like to be able to use this App for real, as is possible in other countries and is the case with other brands of insulin pump.
It is such a pain having to carry the Omnipod Manager device as well as my mobile phone everywhere I go.

So confusing

So I’m 12 and I have type 1 so like most people who would test out some thing before they got it which this Friday I get the Omni pod 5 so I tested it and I was just confused because like why was I just dropped in no like hey this is how you use it and just remember this is how you stop the insulin but it was like boom here try it and you have to Learn because we don’t care and bye like at least say like I said early er (and also I am not that good with my grammar by the way like when I was spelling grammar I almost put grammer)
So if you wanna try it just dont not being rude or anything like I’m just trying to be honest.

Great App

This app is brilliant but when will it become available in the UK to work as it is already released in the US?

Very helpful

I am a diabetes educator and this app is very, very helpful when I am on the phone with patients helping them make changes in their Omnipod. There are a few suggestions I have that would make this app more efficient. When I start using the app in the every day use option I do not want to have to simulate starting a new pod. This causes the patient to have to wait for me while I tap through this. Also, in the initial set up, I would like if the pre-populated things would be taken out. This way I could actually enter in the same things that the patient is entering while they’re entering it. So I will see exactly what they see.

3 pages?

When I open the app, there are three scrolling pages of details about the system, but nothing that opens up like the pages advertised here in the App Store

No setting for podder viewing

No setting in this app to send an invite for outside viewers. Is this missing?

2+ years?!?!

Surely it can’t take 2+ years to make an iPhone app. And 1 year of it being approved by the FDA. You can’t just submit a blank app to the FDA, you’ve had a model and a way of communication for over a year now. I could probably learn iOS coding and make an app in half of the time it’s taking them to make this.

Love this app as a diabetes educator!

This app is so helpful for getting people comfortable with using Omnipod 5 before pump start day! Thank you to the creators!
I

Does not give accurate simulation

This incorrectly implies you can use Omnipod software on an Apple Device. You unfortunately cannot. This app is misleading and serves no real-world purpose

Omnipod 5 & Dexcom

I’ve been using the omnipod system since they first released the first wireless insulin pump system. It was not yet integrated with any continuous glucose monitoring system, so I had to enter in my blood sugar levels and calculate my carbs to get the necessary insulin to maintain my glucose levels.

I am now using the omnipod 5 system and Dexcom G6 and I am very happy with the upgrades that are being offered to patients. I do miss the ability for family members to be able to view my insulin pump levels, but the fact that I can allow my Dexcom to communicate with omnipod to keep my blood sugar levels in range is a huge benefit for me.

I highly recommend getting this device!

Still no iPhone app

Hello, it's me!
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to keep your promise?

Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about iPhone app?

No?

Ready for the app that can actually control the Omnipod

What is taking so long? Is it Apple or is it Insulet we are waiting for to get the “real controller” app on the App Store? …
