About
Turn one word into another, one letter at a time. Every step has to be a real word: WARM, WARD, CARD, CORD, COLD.
That's the whole game. It's been played on paper since Lewis Carroll invented it in 1877 — this is it done properly on a phone.
THE DAILY
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone. Solve it at par with no hints and the game calls it what it is: flaw · less. Keep your streak alive, and catch up on any day you missed in the archive — though the streak only counts on the day.
ENDLESS
Four sizes of puzzle, dealt fresh whenever you want one. Perfect 4s for a quick, tidy solve where every letter has to move. Gentle warm-ups. Classic, the standard spread. Marathon, seven moves or more, for the long haul.
THE WALK
One continuous ladder: reach the goal at par and it becomes the next puzzle's start. The walk ends the first time you go over. How far can you get?
HOW IT PLAYS
· Par is shown up front — the shortest possible solve, so you always know what good is.
· Wander freely: tap any earlier rung to rewind and try another route.
· Hints will walk you home, but they go on your record.
· Pen mode, for purists: no eraser, moves are final.
· Hold any word — even one in a revealed path — to look it up in the dictionary.
· Share a result as a spoiler-free grid, or send a friend the exact puzzle you just played and see if they can beat your count.
· Game Center leaderboards and achievements, if you opt in.
· Light and dark, or follow the phone.
No ads. No account. No tracking. Nothing leaves your phone. Just a word, four letters, and somewhere to be.
