Brake controller not working properly after app update
Brake is grabbing in slow speed and sometimes it’s showing some output in the even when bakes aren’t on ressed

I only updated because my older version started crashing when trying to open. This new version opens but doesn’t connect to echo anymore.

Terrible performance
We use this to control our trailer brakes when towing with our rv. The app crashes and won’t even allow you to open it. Great when it happens while you’re towing over mountains

App won’t open. Family trip is ruined.
App not working
App is not working. It just blanks out and doesn’t even show up. I need the app to work when going through the Rocky Mountains!! What did Curt do to the app?!
Application no longer usable
The most recent updates cause the application to crash upon opening making the app no longer usable. I questioned using a Bluetooth device upon purchase for this very reason. Now I’m restricted from using my own trailer and having to look at spending time and money to hardwire a controller.
Can’t open the app after update
Please fit the problem as soon as possible. We are on a road trip with trailer. Don’t know what to do if the app can’t be opened
App states it no longer works
I received no email from the company regarding this brake control app that it was no longer working, now in need of towing my trailer and I bought this device last year, and now it doesn’t work what a waste of money. Why wouldn’t I get any email alert for this product, they certainly make you register so they have all your contact information… I will definitely be looking for a refund

Bad Update
WTH. The app won’t let me change the settings anymore. The previous version that I was forced to delete was just fine. Typical engineers justifying their jobs by changing things that work just fine and making problems for the end users. I am unable to adjust my settings on the fly, or in park, or at anytime.

It struggles since the update
I’ve had this for two years. Worked beautifully. They made an update. New app. It sucks. All buttons don’t even fit on the screen. Connectivity is weak.
Fix your product
New update will not recognize my brake via Bluetooth. I hope you go bankrupt.

Awful. Buggy.
Boy, whoever developed this ““ new version should really rethink testing. The software is very buggy. You can’t adjust the settings on your controller. Sensitivity can’t be adjusted the amount of break power being applied. Can’t be adjusted. You click the button and go to the screen just to tell all you want when you go back none of those adjustments are saved. In addition the controller shows that it’s applying force. The circular force indicator doesn’t match how much force is being applied when you’re just driving along the road minding your own business it Shows force being applied. This is an incredibly bad software release and I am talking about the latest version 2.0

Dangerous app update
Update from last review: we called tech support and when we told him the issues his advice turn off head lights (no change), told him how we can change settings and that it will show output remaining at 50 even though we were pulling and not having the trailer locked up (says it’s our
brakes connection is bad and that needs to be checked and is not related to the app). Made it home from a stressful drive and found the solution, or at least it worked for us.
Possible solution: after reinstalling the updated app, in Bluetooth settings forget the device and repair using the code on the device, next make sure your font size is default size on your device otherwise you can not see the button after changing settings to press apply.
Poor timing to update the app on a holiday weekend when many people will be using it!
Original review: The app quit opening so I uninstalled and reinstalled to the latest version. It connects to my brake control but gives me no control of settings. I changed the maximum and sensitivity but when you click back it doesn’t save the changes. After a full stop and then start again it will still show max output of 50, tap the button it will change to 11, tap again and it will show no brakes being applied. When showing 50 and 11 no brakes were being applied on tow vehicle or trailer, just showing a bad reading. Hope a fix is coming soon.

App Update is DANGEROUS.
UPDATE: The newest app version needs to be tweaked. To make it work properly you need to completely forget the echo device then re-pair it. In order to change setting like sensitivity nd Max Output you need to make sure your font size settings in the IPhone settings is set to default and not larger font. larger did not allow the brake controller changes to be made. Seems odd but it is the way it is. After these things were done the app began working properly. THESE WERE THE ISSUES WE WERE FACING. App worked fine before. Now with version 2.0.0 we can’t change sensitivity or maximum output settings with our Curt brake controller. So we’re forced to drive with settings not optimal for our rig. With this flaw we will be looking to change brake controllers. This is unsafe and horribly irresponsible for Lippert AND Curt. Can’t recommend this to anyone until the problem is fixed. When safety is involved this is a massive flaw and needs attention ASAP.
