Stopped working after update
Icon looks different so I’m assuming app updated itself recently. I can longer open it. Crashes instantly.

Crashes on startup
App uselessly crashes instantly on startup. This means there is no way to access the settings of the brake controller and there is no way to access the emergency stop brake control button. This makes the brake controller extremely unsafe to use.
It’s ok but could be amazing
I use the app for the Curt Echo brake controller so my use is limited to that. Setup was easy and it does what it says. However it could be better with a few updates. It would be incredibly helpful if it had options to activate the various trailer lights by tapping a button. Making it easy to test brake lights, blinker, etc from behind the trailer rather than needing someone else to watch. As others have noted, there is no CarPlay integration. Sure would be nice if there was.

Developers did not take the time during beta to make the app work with the latest OS. Crashes on load.
Doesn’t Work
This app no longer launches on my iPhone 16 using iOS 26.6.1. I hope it still controls the brake based on the settings I set when the app did open. Even updated with the latest version of the app, still flashes a loading screen and then disappears.

Wish I could leave a rating but app won’t open, which is difficult when you’re relying on the app to control your trailer breaks.

This app replaced ECHO Smart Control. I didn’t realize this switch had been implemented until it was time to hook up my travel trailer. I installed this app and it did its job. A few months later, I’m ready to tow again and now the app is crashing as soon as I try to open it up. There are no pending app updates. The Bluetooth Kurt equipment I purchased cost a pretty penny and to have app issues like this is annoying. I did submit app feedback so hopefully the development t team can fix this issue asap. My parents also noticed the same issue with this app on their smart phone. This issue occurred on the weekend and there is no customer support on Sat and Sunday. That’s when most people are hauling a travel trailer in my area.

The update from hell
Don’t update! You’ll regret it! My formerly useful echo now jams on the brakes at anything short of highway speed. I have it turned down all the way being that it’s a little better than none. In short, all smooth proportional control is gone. Updated right before a 2000 mile trip, what a mistake! Now I need to buy a real controller, there’s no getting the old software back. With this software these will be at the flea market with FM converters. Too bad, it was a nice device for a few years.

Quit working completely!
App flashes and then disappears. Just discovered this yesterday as we traveled with 3100 pounds behind us. What do we do now? No trailer brakes!!!!!

The app isn’t working , it crashes on iPhone 14 Pro with latest iOS 26.6.1 Not great , also why do you need my location ,is app gathering info to sell to 3rd party , like insurance companies !
Unusable
Crashes every time I try to open it. It’s been like this for months. Now I have an expensive brake controller that can only be used on the last setting and doesn’t have an emergency button. I hope the company fires their H1Bs and gets ChatGPT to fix their broken, unusable app.
App crashes on iPhone now
I updated the app on my iPhone today, and now it crashes immediately. Packed and ready to go on my camping trip, but feel I need to cancel it now. What is the plan to fix this?
App crashes on iOS 26.6.1
I installed this app over a year ago and it seemed to work OK, I didn’t need much from it, just to connect to the trailer and build a profile. I trust that the trailer brake controller still works in the default mode, but the app has been crashing when I used it against recent iOS updates. There doesn’t appear to be much in the way of app support on the website, so I’m writing the review because I don’t know another way to report the Bugg.

App continues to crash every time I open it, even after re-installing

You bricked my brakes
Your new app will not open on my phone. It will also not allow me to use the old app which worked just fine. Now I have no brakes and no way to tow my trailer safely. Thanks for your new improved app

Reinstall App
Edit: try uninstalling and reinstalling. That made the app and my Echo start working again for me.
I don’t know who needs to read this, but hopefully Curt does. They broke the app with V2. In fact, the app doesn’t even launch. It force closes as soon as you try to open it. Before V2, it worked great to control my Echo and set brake and gain levels. I’ve been driving around without a brake controller the last two months thanks to Curt. And the recent update V2.1 didn’t fix it. The app still does the exact same thing.
