Could be improved so much
Went today and friend downloaded the app, they got a drink and went to bar to say it had been redeemed ! It hadn’t ! Even spoke to manager who insisted it had been used. We had food and left and visiting card had still not been updated! This isn’t the first time. Also can’t understand why ordering on the app drink prices are not listed. Could be so much better

Tries to trick you into leaving a tip
Has a high tip percentage added on at the end of your purchase which if you aren’t careful enough while ordering you may accidentally allow to go through. Also doesn’t include the full range of drinks at a location.
If you are going to add a tip option to the app it should be defaulted to 0%, it is an establishment that primarily sells alcoholic drinks so you are trying to scam tips out of drunk people. I doubt the tips even make it to the staff without O’Neill’s and this app taking a big cut.

Doesn’t work
Save yourself some time and just order at the bar. I downloaded the app but had no confirmation email to sign up and after clicking on any of the menus within the app, all I received was blank screens. I eventually gave up trying and went to the bar!
Possible app security issue
The app worked OK enough (apart from a bit long-winded and unable to apply vouchers), but the card I used with the app was part of a fraudulent transaction a couple days after. Obviously this may have been obtained elsewhere, but this is the only place I recently used the card at.
Option to change
The app is fine and works but it needs a option for people to add additional info

After spending 10 minutes walking through the excruciating sign up process, it took me a further 15 minutes to find out how to order a drink. This app has very poor UX experience.
After spending time walking through another long process to order the drink, it would not accept my payment. I had to go up to the bar and order my drinks in the end, where my payment was accepted first time.
Overall a bad experience.

Useless
It’s a fine Saturday afternoon and I’m ready to get my draaaannkkkk on... I enter the fine establishment, “We recommend using the app, it will be quicker”... App downloaded, account made, I pick my beverage and go to pay, but wait, the app crashes, I try again, app crashes... I literally could have brewed my own beer quicker and sank two pints before this app worked and ordered my some kind of alcoholic liquid.

Absolute rubbish. What a waste of time. Took 15 minutes to setup, login and actually find where to place an order. App doesn’t remember your payment details in full. It doesn’t use Apple Pay.
Ordered a round of drinks got an error. Ordered again. Error. Ordered a third time. Confirmed. Guess what? Three lots of drinks arrive!
Utter rubbish.

DO NOT use this app. Go to the bar
I mistakenly tried to do the right thing by using the app, as other contactless systems have worked fine. However as with other reviews
1. It is far quicker to order from the bar
2. You try to purchase something through the app, you are charged but receive no receipt nor do you receive your order.

Great app
Using app for social distant drinking and food. No issues. Tells you what’s available and not available hope it catches on when COVID is over.
Useless app
Such a bad app. When I open weatherspoons app it just asks what bar you are at and takes you too the order menu. I can’t even work out how to use this app to order.
At the bottom it has all the tabs. But none of them are order??? It’s such a bad UX. Plus you can’t even use Apple Pay when I finally managed to order.
I went to the bar and they said you have to use the app. I asked them to help at the bar and they could not figure it out! Just look at weatherspoons and copy them please

Needs work
Limited choice of drinks when ordering from table, not all drinks in the ‘Drinks Menu’ are offered when ordering through the ‘Order Now’ option and you can’t order direct from the full menu. Annoying as some in our group wanted drinks not available in Order Now. Also no option to pay by PayPal or Apple Pay. Disappointing and as someone has already said in a previous review, not a patch on the the Wetherspoon app. Must do better

Don’t bother
Slow, crashes, can’t get past the allergy screen. What’s the point is giving a free drink when you order via the app if you can’t order via the app.
In the time I’ve taken to order a drink via the app I’ve been to the bar, ordered food, had the food delivered and eaten the food and still not been able to order a drink.

Slow ordering process & freezes
Downloaded to order food and save queuing at the bar on busy nights.
Unfortunately it didn’t really work for me at all. The app is actually quite long winded to use, not a fast process at all, and it regularly freezes. Even when it works as it should it’s still quicker to order direct at the bar.
Another gripe is that it doesn’t appear to list all of the drinks on offer at each location. A shame as this would make it much better.
All in all, I’d say just don’t bother and order the old fashioned way until its improved.

Very good app for ordering drinks and food, the service was extremely quick and the staff were lovely which made the experience 10x better

Works but where’s my receipt?
As others have said, not a patch on the Wetherspoons app which I mainly use when at the airport.
Had some company visitors with me, so went to O’Neills with them, excitedly downloaded the app and signed up. Did manage to order food and drinks and it arrived ok with no prompting, however, echo what others have said in that it would of been quicker to go to the bar (it was quiet, app would be better if the bar was busy )
Main frustration, no electronic receipt ! ( or at least so far it has not been emailed to me and I can’t find it in the app ) - now need to mess around downloading my credit card statement for my expense claim !

Disappointing
As a regular user of the Wetherspoons App I was pleased to find O’Neill’s have an app. Really disappointed as not all drinks are available and there’s no search facility either so you spend ages scrolling. It’s quicker to go to the bar. Certainly needs the developers to have a look at updating functions available.

Useless - just order at the bar
3 of us tried to use the app, only one succeeded but.... neither his food or drink turned up without us prompting the bar staff. Generally app is useless and takes you through to a mobile site to make the order anyway, at which point it crashes. If you’re going to bother making this app, put a bit more time and money into it and actually make it a good customer experience - right now it’s just a frustrating and pointless app and deff not worth promoting in your bars as much as you have!
