Great app and great support
I was looking into the off road rescue option and had questions. I asked via the contact link and had an answer within a few minutes. I had subsequent questions and all were answered very quickly. Thank you Carla.

Been using OnX for years. I now have all of the products. Started with HUNT. Outstanding, and now with buddy share…wow.
Never Worked
Tried using it this last week and it didn’t work! Wouldn’t open up any maps or even load the app itself.
Good, but.....
overall, the app is good. It’s not great, but it’s good because there have been several times where I go to search for something that I found on Apple or Google maps and your search is unable to find it unless I go hover over that specific spot then your search can find it. oh, and the login thing what a flipping mess that is.

Great app and customer support
I have found onX Offroad super useful and full featured for the year that I’ve been using it. I love the ability to discover trails, plan an outing, and share that route with others. The tracking feature is fantastic and works remarkably well considering the amount of tree cover I’m usually under here in the Southeast. And I truly love the ability to add custom waypoints and upload photos to those waypoints to relive and share the obstacles and scenery.
But a recent experience ’sealed the deal’ for me. I was facing a technical problem I couldn’t resolve on my own and I contacted onX for assistance. Jenny got back to me quickly and worked with me pretty extensively until we figured out the issue. A good app is hard to find, and it is rarely paired with outstanding customer service. But onX pulled it off. Thanks!

New to off road
So far so good. Crazy how much information is on this app. I am very excited for my first trip
OFF-ROAD
We can’t imagine a day we don’t use this app. I let my app lapse and it was about a week or so, we quickly realized just how much we use this app for everyday fun and living. We were cutting our firewood and when I couldn’t quite get what the map said I went immediately to OnX. It let me know where I was exactly and even being offline I can always depend on finding my way. We are out in the backroads daily to fish, run the dogs, get wood or even just to play and I always have my OnX going. I track trails, places to come back to or even hidden gems. I love the freedom in the app.
I contacted customer service over which service to get and I got a response back within a day. They have been great in supporting me when I have questions and no they don’t give me anything to say that.
We spend everyday we can outside and enjoy what we do. Having OnX helps us ensure we are going to get home to do it another way.
My only issue is which one to get. I love all of the apps!

Keeps coming up short
Maybe I have a bad version of the app or something, but it keeps coming up disappointing. I tried to download off-line maps only wanted the Topo version so it doesn’t take up so much storage, but it would only download the satellite app. What the heck
Great app for exploring
We use to have to download the National Forest MVUM and research the areas on line to plan our trips. Now we use OnX and our trips are easier to plan, more suited to our liking and give us more confidence to our location. We have even used it to take the scenic routes to locations rather than the interstate with great results. My bride has always teased me about mapping technology, my GPS, but now she uses OnX on her own.

Good app, but they track you and sell your data
Look at the privacy details. This app is nuts and tracks everything. Other apps like Regrid don’t do that so it’s possible to have a map app and not do it. Huge bummer since this app has trails and is very useful.

Using the onX Offroad app to build a route is more painful than sticking a hot Poker in my eye
Awesome App
I could not imagine trying to go Jeeping without onX. The gps works fantastic. I can tell if I am 20 feet off of the route and can get back on track.
Scam
They let you sign up for a free trial, but there is NO WAY to cancel it before they charge you the full price. It won’t even show up on your subscriptions on App Store

This sucks
These guys made me do a test that took a little while and then they said it done just to try to make me pay money. This app doesn’t tell you up front they hide untile you are already signed in with an account.
AI interview
Before I could use the one Off-road app, I was interviewed by what was clearly AI. The questions pertained to what I would like out of the app. When the interview was over, I was offered the Premium Plan at $34.99/yr which included basic 4wd routes which was useless to me. I can get that information easily without paying a dime. Everything else of interest to me requires paying a ransom of $14.99/mo, WTF. My daughter has full access to all features for $50 a year. I’m now a hater of this company for using AI in a way that is already being outlawed
