Accident

Four months ago my wife and I were in a pretty bad car accident. Fortunately, we were not badly injured. As soon as the accident occurred I immediately received a call from OpenRoad. They were genuinely concerned. They asked if we were okay, needed an ambulance, and even asked we needed a tow truck. We were totally impressed with OpenRoad and would recommend it for anyone. Thank you OpenRoad.

Maximum

Help when you need it is available

App does not function

I tried to install the app. It requires you to add a text code to open the app. I requested the text code several times and never received it..

Scam

I decided not to use this app. There is an option to delete your account. It doesn't work. It locks you into a endless circle. Not good!

Not working

Appears not updated properly. Keeps telling me to turn on motion & fitness in my phone. My phone does not have that toggle to switch on. I’m using an iPhone 24 Pro Max with iOS 18.2.

OFF TRACK

IT NEVER REFRESH ON THE WEEK TIME AND NUMBERS ON BASICALLY ITS OFF TRACK!

My opinion

Last week the wife and I were on loop 410 in the San Antonio area when I was alerted to a major accident ahead we took the next exit and continued on home on the news that night it was said that the accident was a fatality. They wife downloaded it the next day. Thank you again for being there for us

Five Stars! Safety First!!!!! Proved itself!

So I got in a minor accident today, a “junk haulers” truck didn’t stop in time and rear ended my minivan. I was flustered at first and trying to find the non emergency number for the local police, and then when I did and was calling them, I was getting another call that I ignored because I needed to finish with the police call. I later received a call again and answered it and it turned out to be Openroad checking on me. They asked if I needed them to call for any help and I told them the police were on their way. They then asked me if I wanted them to stay on the line until the police came to which I responded it was daylight and I felt safe enough not to. But, wow, I appreciate that they reached out multiple times, would have called for assistance, and also would have stayed on the phone with me for as long as I needed. Do not hesitate to download this app. My watch didn’t even notify my about the incident although it is suppose to detect car crashes, which I suppose was because it was relatively minor…but Openroad DID! I am just so impressed and so grateful I had this service available to me. Thank you, Openroad!!!!

Accident

This truly works-a week ago the accident I was in OPENROAD immediately started calling me

Very good app

I am thankful that there’s a n app out there that can help someone maintain their drive ability to be a good driver

They don’t respond to you

Tried to contact 2x no response. Tried to cancel multiple times and it just takes you to sign up page. Obviously tech problems with simple things so how can I trust big items. Doesn’t know situations so dings you for avoiding accident by braking hard etc. other programs share this data with ins companies so they may too, don’t know. Taking it off my phone.

Love this app

Open Road detected an accident that happened in front of me and they contacted me to see if I was ok or needed help. I’m 73 and I grateful for this free app.

Unbelievable

Thank you, thank you, thank you❣️
I was in a head on collision, because a driver lost control and got in my lane.
He was going 75 miles per hour on a 35 miles per hour road.
The app immediately notified my daughters, my husband, the police and paramedics. I had help within just a very few minutes.
It was so appreciated at a time as such.

It’s ok

However if you pull over to use your phone you get dinged, if your a passenger in a car same thing I think of you use gps you get dinged this is. A major reason I won’t use something similar in my car insurance as they find ways to ding you !

Mr D Funnye

Open road makes me feel safer

Very new

It excellent and helps me monitor my own driving skills

I like the idea of it, but has some false positives and battery drain

The idea is great. I have it trigger some false positives and even alert when I’m on a plane from time to time, but the biggest thing for me lately is the battery usage. My phone is a iPhone 12 Pro which was reporting it took 7% of my battery in the last 24 hours several times even when I’m not the driving. My battery has been draining faster as it starts to age. However 7% is a bit much and pushes my concern even further about running out of battery. The peace of mind of having a functioning phone out weighs the benefits of this for me.
