What's New in OpenSummit

3.0.2

September 11, 2023

OpenSummit Being Retired, Merged Into OpenSnow What's changing? All OpenSummit features will be merged into OpenSnow. The OpenSummit app will continue to function through at least the end of 2023, but no new features or improvements will be added. Moving forward, all of the best features will be available on one app and website, OpenSnow. Why are we sunsetting OpenSummit? There are two reasons that we are stopping work and ultimately shutting down OpenSummit. First, having two apps (OpenSnow and OpenSummit) that offered similar and sometimes identical features became confusing for our subscribers. Second, as a small team, we want to keep our product and our business focused on doing a few things very well, and maintaining two brands and two apps was causing duplicative work. This means that you can get all the same features and views from OpenSummit without needing to open a different app, or, in other words, all the weather data you need for winter AND summer adventures will be in one app, OpenSnow, and not spread across two apps. What should you do now? Download the OpenSnow app and log in with the same email address and password that you currently use for OpenSummit. Your favorite locations from OpenSummit will also still be available to view under the "Summer" list in OpenSnow. Your current All-Access subscription will also continue to work, with no changes needed from your end. Thank you so much for your continued support. We can't wait to show you what’s next on OpenSnow to help you plan your adventure, no matter the season. -The OpenSnow Team

Open Summit

LOVE IT!

Good data for the sites you can find

As a rock climbing planning app it’s pretty limited. There are major crags and climbing areas that you can’t find. You would think something like red river gorge or new river gorge would be easy to get weather data on….

Subscription

I bought the Subscription thinking that I was going to get 10 days forecast but my app shows only 5 days

Great app

I religiously use OpenSnow and OpenSummit before any adventure (and even when I masochistically decide to check the weather while I’m stuck at my desk). They’re always coming out with new and inventive features, improving their forecasts, and app experience. These are must have apps for any outdoor sport or weather nerd.
