Helps understanding risk

Summer - fall we usually have nearby wild fires. Purple Air is a go to for accessing smoke risk.

Inaccurate AQI readings

Despite smoke in the air from the Woodside Fire blanketing Sonoma County, this app showed an AQI of just 10. I (stupidly) trusted it and left my windows open. I forced quit the app and made sure I was on current iOS app version. I later learned our local AQI had reached “unhealthy” levels of 197 and climbing when verifying against other sources.
