Oracle Latista Field User Reviews

Outdated and useless support.

Last update was 3y ago, and if you’re running iOS 16.1 the app crashes. Contact support (via a mailbox whose bounce says it’s not monitored, but actually is), and they’ve got no ETA on a fix. Just another neglected piece of Oracle tech.

Keeps shutting down

It works now on my iPad after deleting and reinstalling. Tried the same with iPhone but app keeps shutting down.

Interested in trial but...

The app simply doesn't allow me to try it out. It asks for way too much information, obviously trying to get a sales foothold, but it crashed even after providing that.

Sorry. I need a straight-forward business-grade app that does what I need it to do without jumping through hoops.

Happy to see previous functionality restored

Previous functionality was restored in this version with much appreciation such as list view and correction of file navigation. Syncing seems to be a little quicker just from initial observation. Leaving at 4 stars because BIM viewer is still not up to par and lack of multi project support.

Awful App

Synchronization is tedious, slow, and unreliable. After visiting the site, making comments and waiting through a 2-hour synchronization, the comments aren't uploaded.

I don't have the inclination to rely upon an unreliable and cumbersome app.

Love it!

The new Latista release brings several great new features to an already top notch solution. The business intelligence module is already proving to be a very powerful tool and the the punch list functionality couldn't be easier. Keep up the great work

Not Prime Time

The app like the program is an ok database program for collective group identifying and correcting punchlist items but is very deficient on even fundamental drawing editing tools that are typical of PDF editors. The concept is great but the program needs a serious update to be viable for any construction project.

Great iPhone app! Whole new world is now open!

IPad version was very good and CX module addition made it even better! But what made it really awesome was the iPhone interface!

Exactly what I needed

Impressive app with many practical functionalities, great update! Highly recommend this app.

Mr.

How about you focus on the basics, like syncing, instead of adding new features that are worthless anyway if you can't get the servers to complete a sync task!

Project Manager

Excellent app! My team really likes the new drag and drop issues on a drawing. The docs in the field is really great at keeping everyone on the same page. We have all of our folks using the app along with the subcontractors, which saves everyone a ton of time. They keep making the app better and better so I am giving it a 5 star.

Disappointing Updat

The latest version of the Latista appfeels like a step backwards. The best and easiest to use feature from the original app was to create an issue directly from the document and attach a screen capture. There is still the option to do this however it doesn't work. It constantly attaches the full document making it hard to clearly identify the issue at hand. In addition the clouds are now left on the original document making it hard to identify clearly when there are multiple issue in the same area since they overlap making them illegible. The document annotations also no longer show up on the issue attachment when one views it on the Latista website making it useless when sending to a subcontractor since they cannot tell where it is.

Another step back is the deletion of the freehand mark-up tool as noted by other reviewers.

Given the licensing cost of Latista it is best that companies explore all options prior to committing to using it. It is also important to understand the it is still very much a work in progress.

Great for punch lists

This application in invaluable in the construction industry to assemble completion lists throughout the progress of the project, and to track the items on this list from conception to completion. The ability to note deficient items, take a photograph of the deficient item, and mark up on a drawing where the deficient item is, saves substantial time. This program works best on a project where multiple iPads are available for the subcontractors to check out, and the specifications are written to require the subcontractors to use this software to close out their own items. The only negative I comment I have are minor comments with the positioning of access points on the user interface. Other than that, a very useful application for anyone in any industry requiring a laundry list of items to be complete before the end of a project.

Great App Easy to use

Very powerful app yet easy to use. The ability to create and track issues from the field
and then sync them to a date base so the whole project team can view and manage them is a huge time saver. Now with the new function of dropping issues on drawings, the sub contractors can now take the drawing in the field and see where their issues are.
