Rating summary
About
one fiber ring a day, and you close it with real food.
30 different plants a week, counted for you.
and pip, a tiny pear, reacts to everything you log.
orbit is a fiber tracker for fibermaxxing without the spreadsheet. no account, and your food log stays on your phone. you don't count everything, just fiber and plants.
YOUR FIBER RING
• your goal starts at 28 g a day, the FDA Daily Value for fiber. change it whenever you like; the source is linked in the app.
• the ring begins near what you eat now and grows 3 g a week (orbit's own step), because the British Dietetic Association advises adding fiber gradually and drinking enough as you go.
• search about 8,000 foods offline from USDA FoodData Central, plus european staples: rye bread, pumpernickel, crispbread, porridge, baked beans, quark, skyr, buckwheat, sauerkraut, kefir.
• scan a barcode, including UK and EU packs, through Open Food Facts.
30 PLANTS A WEEK
• every different fruit, vegetable, wholegrain, bean, nut and seed counts once a week; herbs and spices count a quarter. the 30 comes from a 2018 study that compared people eating more or fewer than 30 plant types a week. it's a variety goal, not a promise, and the reference is in the app.
THE 8 PM CLOSER
• if your ring is still open in the evening, one line tells you what would close it, like "5 g to close your fiber ring — 1 medium pear does it." (a medium pear has about 5.6 g of fiber, per USDA.)
• the next morning, a one-line recap of yesterday.
YOUR FIBER WEEK
• every week, a fiber card in the tier-list look, ready to post.
FREE

orbit is a food log. it tracks what you eat against a goal you choose; it doesn't diagnose or treat anything.
