iPadOS Navigation Bug Still Needs Attention
Today, after a long hiatus, I subscribed to OregonLive again. Unfortunately, the latest version (4.5.11) of your app still has a bug that prevents proper navigation on Apple iPadOS. For example, when navigating from “Portland” to “Politics” on my iPad, the content is not refreshed. The same navigation works correctly on iOS. Selecting “Politics” should refresh the page and display the Politics section. Instead, the app remains on the previously displayed content.
I’m using a 12.9-inch iPad Pro (4th generation) running iPadOS 26.5.2. The problem is consistently reproducible on my device. When I previously reported this issue to your technical support team, I was told they were unable to reproduce it. Because I primarily use my iPad to read your content, I canceled my subscription last year (under a different email address).
As I mentioned to your support representative, I believe your development team could benefit from looking at the New York Times app as an example of a more polished user experience. Your browser-based navigation could also be improved.

App is buggy!
The Oregonlive app crashes, won’t save articles, and won’t allow sharing stories.
Annoying: Now Only Fragments of Articles
A so-so app has taken a monumental downturn. The OregonLive app now only includes the first paragraph of each article. It’s a poorly designed and flawed attempt to get readers to subscribe, yet every complete articles are accessible at no cost on oregonlive.com. What’s the point of the app now?
iPad app loads slow and freezes
Very frustrating. On my brand new iPad, it loads slowly and then after one menu selection, freezes and won’t allow selection of another.
