True to their word
I heard about them on Instagram as a way to get around in case of an outage; I can confirm it works perfectly well on airplane mode or just without cellular turned on. It’s also open source which tells me they’re a reliable bunch. I’m still scrounging up some to do it myself but please donate to the devs if you can!

Overall i think it’s great, lightweight and you only need to download what you need.
the download sizes for largest cities in the world are quite small with Shanghai at around 35MB and New Dehli at around 22MB which is quite impressive for the amount of detail there but for rural areas, the sizes of the region are quite large (for example someone in Gloucester probably doesn’t need information from Weighmouth for example but tbf it does mean that there is less to download for those who works in logistics for example)
i would suggest an improvement though,
since the map comes in macro by default, maybe have the option to download the micro map on the side rather than up front because i might want to be a doughnut and zoom in on a place with no detail.

do i use it?
it’s not intuitive
I really want to use it, but…
I’m really annoyed by all these POI symbols that covers the map and inability to switch them off or adjust makes me literally scream… the maps is great, the app is great… bit I can not use it because of these stupid POIs…

Excellente app pour le voyage
Cela fait un mois que j’utilise cette app pour voyager à vélo et en camping. Elle fonctionne parfaitement. Les informations des cartes sont à jour. Je télécharge les cartes en WiFi et je les utilise offline.

Great way to view and use Open Street Maps
Download and search OSM data off line. Great to have for when cell service is not available.
