Origin
Origin is a very sleek looking app that provides a comprehensive approach to DIY financial management, leveraging AI and technology to empower budgeting, investment tracking, and retirement forecasting tools that gives you a much more personalized experience. They utilize multi-platform account aggregator services to easily and securely import your financial accounts balance, transaction and other pertinent information for a large range of financial entities. Their built-in AI agent is then integrated such that it can leverage the imported data from your financial accounts, in addition to capturing custom memory, that gives you a fine tuned and seamless experience from your first chat prompt sessions to future sessions down the road. It gives much more exacting answers because of this, and you don’t have to deal with re-prompting previous information again and again like you would with a normal AI LLM search provider. On top of this base subscription, Origin offers additional cost effective paid services for estate planning document generation, working sessions with a CFP, and even tax return preparation through their partner provider April. All in all, I think Origin positions itself nicely in the market of low cost comprehensive financial management software, chiefly because of the technology/AI and feature rich offerings that allows the DIY folks to have better control over their finances without having to pay for more expensive, AUM or flat-fee costs for active wealth management providers. Now that’s not to say that Origin will be the most ideal software for more rigid retirement planning/management, or for folks with more advanced financials/tax situations. However, I think it’s a fair price for scope of services it brings to the table. And hey, Origin is giving you 1 year of access at only a $1 cost. So seriously, go try it out for yourself.

Huge Difference Maker
Been using Origin for almost a year now and it’s been a total game changer. I have consistently spent less and less each month being to review my finances as often as daily to monthly. The app is really easy to navigate the more you use it and I’ve recently started using it on my iPad also which is an extremely user friendly interface. They offer a lot of different areas to manage your money, with a newly introduced investing section that I only recently started looking into. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone new to managing their money more in depth and wanting to have an easier time finding the true problem areas in their spending as the app gets very specific in the categories that transactions are funneled into.

Avoid - not even worth the $1 subscription
Incredibly buggy and support tickets stay open for months without resolution. Their “AI” is below average at best. I’m hoping that Monarch is better, which I am planning on switching to

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now. It’s pretty good for what it is. I can ask the built in ai for better budgeting and what I have spent the most on to know what I should save and what not. I’m obsessed
It’s so satisfying to see all my finances managed in one place, know that everything’s in order, and do it all from a beautiful app. The Origin AI is helpful too for financial insights as well as just making the most of the app. I find myself checking Origin almost every day just to confirm all my ducks are in a row.

Top Tier Budgeting App
Needless to say, this is the most comprehensive budgeting app I’ve used so far. The $1 year-long trial is unbeatable and you can simply refer two friends to keep getting the service for $1. The AI tools are helpful for understanding a full financial picture and the ability to connect all of my accounts into one place has made the whole process smooth.

Continues to charge
Awful. Don’t get scammed. Not a helpful app. Tried for a day then tried to cancel and a year later they’re still charging me after multiple attempts to contact. Taking larger actions.
Wide range of utility!
I am absolutely loving this app! it has so many different tools that you can use for budgeting investing, and saving. I’ve used many different financial apps in the past, and I can say without a doubt, that this is the best one that I have tried to this day. There only a couple of things that I wish this app had.
1. Some sort of bucket savings integrated into the high-yield cash account.
2. A clear way on the homepage to look at you’re currently liquid cash in the bank account.
Other than that, this is the greatest financial app I’ve used.

This app can change your life
Always considered myself a frugal individual. Origin showed all my finances in an organized and easy to understand way and helped me save another 1000 a month by showing me directly where all my funds were going. The AI is not quite perfect but is super helpful when you get the hang of how it works and its little quirks. This App helped me level up entirely as a person and I recommend it to anyone who is trying to wrap their head around their personal finances. It’s not going to save money for you but if you’re willing to put in the work and have some discipline Origin is the best tool to assist you in the process. ……..

Amazing App
I got this because I wanted more out of a finance app especially because I used to use rocket money and I got it for $1 for a whole year but with all the features and the fact that you get a AI financial advisor that will auto invest in stocks for you sold me. I would not mind at all paying the $99 a year because either is more than fair. I’ve been really happy with this app.

Everything in one place!
Once you figure it out, the program is great! It’s a bit tricky to get the hang of initially, and I had to do some work around to make it work the way I wanted it to. But I think I’ve got it all figured out now. I love that it shows me my net worth. I’m ready to pay down this debt and watch the net worth grow!!!

Invaluable
I’ve used a ton of financial tools. This one finally gets it right AND includes AI. FINALLY. I even made an unprompted video about it on my social media it was that strong. Really the simple fact that you can connect and bring in like 99% of your financials is just a breath of fresh air so you can see your true big picture. 10/10 highly recommend. Great budget App
So far, I love it—great tool for tracking and categorizing my spending transactions. If you want an app that can do that instead of using a spreadsheet, this is the one. Let's you set a budget and forecast your savings and retirement age. Great tool.

Great Affordable Budgeting

Overall good app
I think orgin is a super cool app that definitely gives you a third person perspective on what you’re spending your money on. The AI feature is a good tool to help with budgeting.
